Facts About Internet Porn

As I suspected, that was just another list of bullshit. I researched some of those "facts" and sex is not the most searched term. It wasn't even in the top 100 searched term for Google, neither was anything sexual related which also proves the fact about 25% of all searched terms being pornographic to be false.

Source? I believe you about sex not being #1 but not 1 porn related keyword in the top 100 sounds strange to me too.

Hot Trends reflects what people are searching for on Google today. Rather than showing the most popular searches overall, which would always be generic terms like 'weather,' Hot Trends highlights searches that experience sudden surges in popularity, and updates that information hourly.

Cool stats. I wonder what percentage of all that dirty dirty porn is gay porn? :dunno:

Dont think this is true. Just think about all the japanese sites we never visit....the do so crazy shit, they must have their own porn universe which I yet have to discover :)

Not sure if any of those facts are true but I guess we will never know the true facts about porn unless research goes into it. Knowing the pro-porn groups (like us), they will concentrate on the good side of porn but knowing the anti-porn groups they will most likely make their own facts up (which they always do).

Team America World Po...rnographers!

Some of my friends think that the only reason why the US porn industry is bigger is because everytime other countries create their own pornstars, US companies tends to offer them huge contracts to move to the US. When all the other porn industries catch up then I imagine future pornstars will have a good number of choices on which country they will like to be a porn star in.

70% of porn is viewed during the work day? Either a ton of people are unemployed or that stat seems suspicious to me....

I hope i'm wrong about this, but the number is probably more reflective of the number of kids who are surfing porn while the adults are at work.

# 42% of youths age 10-17 had seen Internet porn in the past year.
# Two-thirds of youth exposures to Internet porn were unwanted. (However, not all unwanted exposure to porn was unintentional: 21% of the time, kids knew they were entering X-rated web sites.)
# Boys were exposed to Internet porn far more often than were girls.
# Boys are nine times more likely than girls to seek out Internet porn.
# Teens, especially those age 16-17, are far more likely than younger kids to view online porn, either accidentally or on purpose. For example, more than two-thirds of boys 16-17 had been exposed to online porn.
# Youth exposure to Internet porn is fairly common. Unwanted porn found its way to 17% of 10- to 11-year-old boys, 16% of girls 10 to 11 years old.
# Most youth said they were not upset by the images they saw.

I still am having trouble comprehending the timeframe issue. I suppose the number may not be a viewing number but an automatic movie downloading number?:dunno:

It seems to me that for viewing purposes, it's not possible for 9-5 to be the popular time. Real work or school infringes upon viewing time. Don't companies track employees' surfing habits?

Yea... I can't believe I'm only part of 30% who logs on at night........ The wife & kids are in bed now right?...... OK I'll keep reading......

I wonder how that study was done. I can just see some kids answering somebody and lying, "Oh no I didn't mean to look at it. It just popped up out of nowhere, honest". :1orglaugh Which is strange since all the time I have been on the Internet I have never had porn ever inadvertanly pop up in front of me for no good reason.
