explosions in boston

those are terrorist attacks planned by independant djihadists

Considering how many people were packed into the area, many owe their lives to the incompetence of the bomber. There was no Al Qada mastermind behind this...they have become masters at mass casualties through small area bombings.
Thank the Saints the bomber was probably some wanna be terrorist and had no big time support.
The USA is a carnival of soft targets for terrorists, we have our best working on keeping us as safe as possible but it isn't possible to keep the occasional cockroach from going off.

The majority of posts on this thread are proof that's it's way too early to be posting in a thread about it. It just happened, there's a lot of raw emotion and misplaced frustration, very little is known about it, even some things that are known will turn out to be inaccurate. To speculate on anything now would be idiotic. There is absolutely nothing to say about the situation right now except to hope the injured will heal, the dead rest in peace, and the witnesses can get pull through mentally/emotionally. Also respect to the first responders for immediately jumping to action.

Also they immediately turn off all cell tower activity in an area after a terror act...they just announced the cell towers are going to be turned back on momentarily. Don't worry...

Correct. To thwart remote detonation of any other devices.

My thoughts are with those who have suffered. I wish peace, rest, and closure. I wish them gentle, patient friends who help in selfless ways. I wish there was something I could do.

My thoughts are not with those who perpetrated this event. Those folks can go and fuck themselves.

^^I agree with what Dirk said^^

I also ran across something about this on social media that gave me something new to think about this...let me share it with you....

Boston. Fucking horrible.

I remember, when 9/11 went down, my reaction was, "Well, I've had it with humanity."

But I was wrong. I don't know what's going to be revealed to be behind all of this mayhem. One human insect or a poisonous mass of broken sociopaths.

But here's what I DO know. If it's one person or a HUNDRED people, that number is not even a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the population on this planet. You watch the videos of the carnage and there are people running TOWARDS the destruction to help out. This is a giant planet and we're lucky to live on it but there are prices and penalties incurred for the daily miracle of existence. One of them is, every once in awhile, the wiring of a tiny sliver of the species gets snarled and they're pointed towards darkness.

But the vast majority stands against that darkness and, like white blood cells attacking a virus, they dilute and weaken and eventually wash away the evil doers and, more importantly, the damage they wreak. This is beyond religion or creed or nation. We would not be here if humanity were inherently evil. We'd have eaten ourselves alive long ago.

So when you spot violence, or bigotry, or intolerance or fear or just garden-variety misogyny, hatred or ignorance, just look it in the eye and think, "The good outnumber you, and we always will."

Whew! It's a good thing Massachusetts has very, very, strict gun laws.

See what terrorists and criminals will do? They laugh out loud at any and ALL laws.

lol @ all of you thin skinned ass-wipes.

Seems to me most of you who are shitting yourselves because of my comment, need to hold hands and sing Kumbaya just a little louder. That way the evil-doers might here you. But, even if they do, it won't matter. They would only be more emboldened.

Fucking wake up!!

Honestly Sam, you really are the lowest of the low. How about showing some respect for the victims of this tragedy and their families instead of using it as an event to push your political views....

NY Post saying they have a Saudi in custody but no one else is reporting that, and the NY post is a VERY BAD SOURCE.

The Boston police chief has denied this is true.

My thoughts go out to the victims of this disgraceful event. There really are some sick people in this world.

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.

Yeah, but this wasn't gun violence. If it was, I would agree with you 100%, and I agree, to many people take their safety and liberty for granted...but this could have happened in Arizona, or Texas, just as easily. My proof of this is, no one even saw what happened...Texas, a dead terrorist, Boston, a cop called...but neither happened, so, I gotta say strict gun laws weren't a factor here.

This is a typical terrorist attack.

They like to attack against civilians.

The victims are now in heaven.

Just know for a fact that if an incident such as this happened in front of Sammy, he'd shit his pants and run. He wouldn't look for a way to help those who were hurt, he wouldn't strike a pose with his beloved guns....he would run away as fast as he can, crying for mommy. And he'd probably knock women and little children out of his way doing it. That's the special brand of chickenshit that he is.

First responders are the mostest awesome of humans, running towards danger and mayhem (no pun intended) when others run screaming away. Impressive...

The photo of someone giving what looks like CPR to a very small person, possibly the 8 year old little girl fatality, with the brown hair in a fan on the ground and him trying to keep life in the tiny body...it hurt like a shot to the heart.

The idiots don't seem to get that when we get angry we leave thousands of our enemies dead...like the Taliban and Al Qada after 9/11. But unlike the Spanish, it DOESN'T send us running away in fear...at least not most of us.
5 devices indicates more involvement than Abdullah Bin Achmad the disgruntled Wahabi businessman. Time will tell...

Knock, knock. Who's there?

Not that it matters, but the 8 year old I heard was a boy, so that pic I saw was likely a female victim. 3 dead is not a good thing, so many hurt for life.
