OCSM Holly Snow went ahead and did an exclusive interview with FreeOnes! Here's a few answers to our questions:

What’s the funniest thing you’ve seen while on the job?

Actually, the funniest thing happened to me while I was webcamming. I was doing a show for this guy doing cam 2 cam and while in the middle of the show, I noticed his wife walk into the room in the background and she started to yell at him. Hilarious!

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

The craziest thing I have ever done would definately be the time that I was snorkeling in the Bahamas and while doing so I saw a barracuda! Thing scared me to death!

What’s the weirdest fact that you know?

Weirdest fact that I know would have to definately be that monkeys like to masturbate as much as humans do!

Those things are scary looking! :p
Scary looking? Hmmm, maybe... :dunno:
But they would never attack you. And honestly, I believe they are beautiful and a wonder of nature. Such speed and hunting abilities. You have to love and admire them!
Same as sharks by the way. Why is everyone so afraid of a shark? :dunno:

Granted sharks and certainly barracuda attacks are rare, but I believe people fear them for 2 main reasons

1. People are used to being on top of the food chain, they fear anything that can hurt them.
2. People are out of their element in the ocean, its new and mysterious, however that also can put them at risk, especially since in the open water you cant simply run away.

In my case it was both, especially as Im not the strongest swimmer, IF it had attacked id be helpless, and helplessness is another fear, such as heights. I think most people fear heights because if they fell, they would be helpless the the inevitable crushing impact.

I understand your arguments completely, but isn't that why people dive? Because it's interesting, all new, not their normal habitat and mysterious? I mean, you 'know' these creatures are in there in You Might bump into them. I always feel it as an exciting thing when I bump into a giant pacific manta, or a whale, a shark or a barracuda, and I can't say it feels like a fear or a scary moment. It more feels to me like I was lucky I bumped into one of these creatures. You can consider yourself very lucky you saw a barracuda in it's natural habitat. I would feel it as an excitement.
But hey, I can understand you feel different things, maybe indeed because you're not a good swimmer, maybe because it's continiously in between your ears You Might be bitten or hurt. But, again, in the end, you and all the others have to admit, you survived, it didn't hurt you and it didn't bite you, as usual. And that also has it's reasons. These fish are not used to see human beings so they are scared of you as well, probably even more scared of you then you are of them.

I´m afraid of women, but I´ve heard that if you subject yourself to your fears you can make them go away.

Holly, would you like to give me a hand with this?
