Nationalism is the belief that your language, your culture, your history, your identity as a people, a nation are better than anyone else's. Such ideology brought us 2 major wars in less than 30 years

that's a nice sentiment but do you want us to provide you with quotes from democrats vs. republicans on that issue? On how democrats love this country as much as republicans?
can we start with: "For the first time in my adult life, I'm really proud of my country."
There's no reason to simply be proud of being american (or french, or german, or japanese, etc.) : being american is not something you've accomplished, it's something you were born with. Being proud of the being born in the US is like being proud of being tall or proud of having blond hair, or being white, etc.
I would even say that people who are naturalised have more reason to be proud of their nationality than people who are native americans (or french, german, japanese, etc.), because to them, being granted their new nationality is an accomplishment. It's not something who was given to them, it's something they had to deserve.
Now, when you're country accomplishes something great, something meaningfull, something inspiring, something that will make the world a better place, there's a reason to be proud.
