Everybody wears flip flops these days

I love my flip flops. I wear them all the time. Nothing is more comfortable than a nice pair of leather flip flops. I don't wear those $4 convenience store shit flops. Forget that. I run, I play soccer and tennis. Flip flops feel therapeutic to me. I love 'em. I even have a nice flip flop "whale tail" tan going...yeehaw!

The two looks I CAN'T STAND are when dudes wear belts with shorts in order to wear shorts lowrider style with their fucking boxers exposed. I see more and more douchebags wearing this look and it's fucking moronic. I can't stand it when girls where their pajamas outside. Talk about lazy, pathetic and moronic....yikes. A girl that wears pajamas out public is a girl I don't even want to know.

how can you play soccer in flip flops? maybe arsenal should try it.

I wear boots, tennis shoes, and sandals. It all depends on the weather, selected attire, and where I'm going.

Although two constants will remain the same - boots with shorts... never! Sandals with jeans...never!

Flip flops with jeans is an acceptable American look. Hell, it's par for course when it comes to daily college wear or weekend summer wear. There is nothing more "AMERICAN" than wearing jeans, a tshirt, your flip flops, drinking a beer and firing up the grille. C'mon. What are you people thinking? Is there are a larger contingent "gamer/skaters" now posing as "fashionistas"? The skater/gamer look...talk about douchebag look....

The only time I would never wear flip flops socially is out on a date. I'll wear them to a sports bar. I won't wear them out at night to bars or clubs. Everybody used to wear them then though, especially in beach towns..I guess the closest thing to a beach the majority of people in this thread have ever come to is watching some "Top 10 Beach" show on the Travel Channel?

I had a beach every day of my life up until 3 years ago, living this far from the ocean is killing me.

If you're wearing flip flops and you're not near a beach, then i'm sorry to tell you you're officially a fashion disaster :D

Unless they are Gucci flip flops or something!

Although flip flops are supposed to be shower shoes, I also notice more people wearing them everywhere. OTOH, I didn't know we were supposed to dress to the nines when going to the hardware store or to the gas station. . . I wear my NIKE sandals to the grocery store, not in flip flops.

I think you may be surprised to know that the majority of the continental masses are landlocked.

That's the lamest thing I've ever heard, having a name printed on suddenly makes an unfashionable thing fashionable? Do you see what a tool you are?

Joanne are you straight-edge?

I never did like wearing flip flops.

Here in The Netherlands they become very usual too. I hate them. I mean, when you are on vacationa an walking to the beach, okay you can wear those things.
But sandals and flip flops are not my kind of shoes.

I would just go barefoot if my feet were tough enough before I ever wore flip flops. I can't stand loose things on my feet.

I live in Louisiana and its hot. Leather sandals to an afternoon birthday or pool party is a must. But my feet are probably the best looking part of my body so I don't mind showing them.
