Ever wonder whether life is a waste of time?

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
Yeah, life is pretty much a waste of time. Most you can do is try and have fun along the way.
Think the big thoughts before you go.
& if you can; improve the lot of your fellow man.

I am a failure to the Korean side of my family
Only when I listen to Bahaus, Christian Death, and other assorted gothic bands.

It pretty much is. Best to occupy yourself so you have little time to fully realise it. The bigger thinkers amongst us see this more clearly than those who devote their time to cars, iPods, american idol, drinking etc who live day by day rather than try to overview what life is about. As Buddhism says Life Is Suffering and once you hit your 70s - 80s it can become almost unbearable as your body succumbs to any/every disease and you spend the remainder of your years on medication or in hospital. A flaw of western society is that you spend most of your best years working your butt off in the persuit of wealth often only making enough to put food on the table and a roof over your head, I believe this lifestyle often makes people question is this all life is about and is it all really worth it.

Unfortunately, it's the only waste of time any of us will ever have so make the most of it.

The question of whether or not their reason for us being here is not a valid one nor is it something worthy of spending time thinking about, it's just a symptom of being lost and in a state of despair.

The only valid question is: do you want to be happy or miserable? Which of those modes of existence you'll experience will be determined by having particular skills or being ignorant of them.

I do'nt think life is a waste of time, if it is then why even bother doing anything. Eating, sleeping, getting an education, sex, friends, children etc...

Correct.
With the small adendum that despite having devoted much time to drinking I still recognise the futility of life.

I can think of some people on here that shouldn't have kids.
Luckily the likes of A Ry are extremely unlikely to be accepted as a mate for procreation.

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
Well did ya ever think Some people have the luxury of sitting there in the comfort of there own homes or there parents homes thinking about how life is a waste of time and how much life sucks, While others are actually homeless, neglected, abused, tortured, molested, or REALLY living a shitty life and have no hopes of knowing any different... So just remember while life sucks and has NO meaning cuz your letting it live "YOU" like that, instead of you doing something to change your STATUS / SITUATION or even that opinion.. Others unfortunately are really living through "THIS LIFE" like that and don't have a computer to express themselves or ask everybody else's opinions about it. :2 cents:

I'm not bothered by life or death, to work oneself up over either defeats the purpose and whatever meaning you may be able to grasp from it. If people want to look at death as the means to an end, fine. If they feel that more can be gained from being dead than alive (or vice-versa), that's fine as well. Let people think what they want to and don't dispute it.

Personally, the world could end tomorrow and I doubt it I'd give a damn. The biggest peeve I have is that people think that running around like chickens without heads will somehow prolong their existence when just accepting it as an inevitability is a much more constructive way to spend your remaining moments.

Depressing group here. I try to balance my life with doing good for my fellow man, and use my free time to have good, meaningful experences.

The goal is that I'll be remembered as a good person, and I had plenty of fun along the way. And if there is more after this life, I hope I was successful being kind to my fellow man, and I'll spend eternity in a good place and good state of mind.

Sometimes i think life is one pointless journey. Everything should just come to an end .

what are your last wishes?

Remind me, if I ever see you at a party, to just ignore you and go talk to more upbeat people

Life actually is proven to not be pointless. There is a point to our existence whether you believe in a higher being or in evolution. Religious people believe the point is to get into the after life and people who believe in evolution say the point is to pass on your genes. So you are wrong. I love life. I love to make others laugh and even if I tell a joke and only one person laughs or make someone feel good, I enjoy it. I also enjoy everything about exploration of new areas and trying new things. Some of you need to stop watching the news and get out of your basements and meet some good people
