Even if you don't like Palin

All I can say is... who gives a fuck what this coke whore thinks politically?

I mean, do we really give a damn what her take on abortion, gay rights, or anything else is?

Go destroy another car, and embarrass yourself with another dope arrest.

It's really killing movies, TV, and music for me, that these fucking dipsticks can't keep their mouths closed about political issues. I don't want to know what actors and musicians think, politically. It's actually killed my ability to watch some of them, even if I agree with them on some topics.

And of course, the circling turkey vultures that are the media swoop down to raise a ruckus every time one of these idiots opens their mouth.

I really wish the entertainment industry would stick to entertainment. :(

Banned?
Are you angry at Lindsay Lohan for having an opinion or at the Media for making a big deal about it?

She's entitled to her opinion and entitled to say it out loud to who ever she wants, but why is the media taking her so seriously when several months ago the only story she would appear in is on the topic of drunk driving and drug abuse?

Lohan also blasts Palin on abortion (Palin is pro-life).

"Women have come a long way in the fight to have the choice over what we do with our bodies ... and it's frightening to see that a woman in 2008 would negate all of that," she writes.

A) It's not just the woman's choice, IMO (with the exception of rape)
B) It's funny that she thinks Palin is "negating" any "progress" that women have made over the years, yet Lindsay Lohan herself, ironically, is the epitome of what we don't want our daughters to grow up to be...a dirty, used up, snobby bitch who uses her looks to get by. Isn't that what all of this "progress" was changing Lindsay? You stupid bitch, nobody likes you.

I don't mind when celebrities speak their minds, as long as it's actually intelligent and not just ill-advised derogatory slurs that are hurled towards nobody. This, unfortunately, is just a case of "PAY ATTENTION TO ME, PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!"

I have to agree with this because Lindsay Lohan or any celebrity for that matter is just voicing their opinion the same as any of us are. If the opinion is really who cares what any of these celebrities think then really who cares what any of us think. The political issues that will affect us will affect them as well. The reason the media is making a big deal out of it is because it's their job.

Or how about "Even if you don't like Lindsay Lohan" maybe she's right lol.Just because people are very flawed which most are does not mean that sometimes they can not be right.

And I would just say on this idea that it's not just a womans right to control her body under any and all circumstances that I find that sexist and patriachial and unacceptable. You want to have a baby find a woman who will voluntarlily be willing to carry it for you.But men have no right try to force a woman to carry a pregnancy to term. And for that matter other women (Sarah Palin as an example) should have no right to dictate to another woman eitheir whether they wish to reproduce.

I do agree with you 100% of course unless your talking about polically motivated bands like RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE or other political bands who have always been involved and outspoken politcally speaking, but your right about the other "entertainment" personalities adding there political viewpoints and opinions! but!!

That said you kind of nailed your own point why this happens!! because these MEDIA VULTURES that are the celebrity info junkies ALWAYS ask these celebrities how they feel about there political views and if they have any thoughts or comments about *so and so* who said this blah.. blah..blah........ so what do you think? well *the celebrity being asked* yatta yatta yatta!! and so forth and etc..etc..

So its not that the celebrities are loud mouth advocates of any politicians nor do they wanna speak publicly about there feeling regarding politics but they are kind of on the spot in those situations! its a catch 22 if they don't answer it makes them look either uncaring about *the political issues* cuz they have $$$ and don't really care either way! or they would appear intellectually incapable to respond with a coherent reply!

So in reality its kind of like they *the celebs* feel they have to say something to stave off looking, appearing or coming off as being dumb and or uncaring so they attack what they feel would be PC and what the MAJORITY of us *the average peoples* who are ie. suffering citizens that have strong feeling about the issues, thus *the celeb* attacking or voicing their opinions they definitely are thought of in higher regard with more respect from there fans and people that share the same opinions, thoughts, ideologies and concerns as *that being us the majority of americans* we feel about the issues!!

Being rich is awesome!! being rich and famous! sucks!! everybody wants to know how you feel!! whats the *celebrities feelings* face it famous people are hounded for everything material wise and mentally speaking! :hatsoff:

p.s. not birfday or xmas gifs!! albeit that was pretty damn funny!! :rofl2: "gifs" as in the thumbnails with motion like our moving animated smilies! :D

Yep. Attack her views if you want, but she has every right to air her opinions. None of us are perfect - it's all too easy to attack her character when she's making an important point.

If you believe in freedom of speech, you believe in freedom of speech for everybody.

You can't be mad at Lohan for having an opinion. Her opinion is a relevant as anyone of ours. Which is to say, it ain't that relevant.

However, you can be mad at the media for making a big deal out of it. I never will understand why they think anyone gives a shit about what an insignificant, out of work actress thinks about anything.

Let me know when Angelina Jolie chimes in. She's a credible actress at least.

none should compare their life to a celebrity life, there is no reason to really make comparisons.

I agree totally, with the exception of your first sentence.

I can't tell if you're being serious or sarcastic.

Oh, and there's a zero percent chance I'm watching that clip. I can't stand the Godfather...but I guess that's really off-topic. :dunno:

No I'm serious, I thought you said its not just the womens choice, meaning the father has a say in the decision.
If thats not what you meant forgetaboutit, but I was just saying that the father has no legal rights in that decision.

...everybodys got one.

...and they all stink!!!

My old baseball coach used to say "EXCUSES are like assholes...everybody's got one and they all stink."

I did say that.

Unfortunately, a man has no legal say in the decision, but morally I believe that he does. If I "accidentally" got a girl pregnant and she wanted to have an abortion, I think I should have some sort of say in the decision. Yes, she is the one physically carrying the baby, but we BOTH created it...together. And, if we created it together then the decision on if it gets terminated or not should be made together.

I've always used the comparison to buying a house. If I'm buying a house with a woman (my wife, for example), but I'm the one who makes 90% of the income...purchasing the house is still a joint decision even though "I would be paying for it". It's still OUR house, not mine.

I'm just the opposite. If me and the wife (which I don't have btw) are buying a house and I pay the mortgage than I consider it to be my house.
