Who cares? Have you any evidence of him??

I don't get why people ask this question. Religion is based mostly on faith. There is no way to prove it to be a fact.

It's also the same with the universe. No one has proven most of the theories out there currently. It's what you believe happened and what other people have said that affects your beliefs.

Can't we move this to the other thread about believing? I don't think this would be off topic there.

Let's just say they can't prove there is a god, but you can't prove there isn't. :dunno:

Exactly. ;)

If you had the choice which one would you choose:

1. Meet God i.e. in corporeal form
2. Travel to a planet with an environment and life forms similar to earth

God almighty already :nanner:

Just found this online......don't know who wrote it, didn't say, but I thought this thread might get a kick out of it. Wish I could take credit for it!

Q: What is christianity?

A: It is the belief that a two-
thousand-year-old jewish zombie
can make you live forever if
you symbolically eat his flesh
and telepathically tell him that
you accept him as your master,
so he can remove an evil *****
from your soul that is present
in humanity because a rib-woman
was convinced by a talking snake
to eat an apple off a magical
tree in a wonderland.

If you believe and find comfort in it, awesome. It's derived from faith. Faith requires no proof....it simply is. If you don't believe, that's fine. It's your right as a human to make up your own mind on the issue. If you don't think it matters one way or the other, that too is perfectly acceptable. In any event, there is no proof either way so it becomes an unresolvable subjective argument and a totally personal decision.

And I agree....this should be merged with the other thread.

I think it is hilarious when people say, "if you believe, that is cool too. That is your right" when refering to Christianity. But mention Scientology and people talk **** and make fun of it and bring up Tom Cruise like they think they are original or something. Anyways...

Whats the difference between "believing" in Christianity or Scientology???
