Eurozone crisis could rip EU apart

The USA, as a UN member, agreed to abide by the UN charter along with all the other UN members. And the US is subject to the Laws of War just like every other nation on the planet (there was a reason why Bush cancelled his trip to Switzerland- he faced possible arrest)

Just like every other uneducated UN-hater you are ignorant of how it functions or what it even is.

Works for panties
You don't channel all of your foreign aid budget through the UN, nor is that budget decided by anyone other than American politicians. You don't even have a clue how your own country's finances work :1orglaugh

Did I say 'all?' And I have a very good idea of how my country's fiances work, and at the moment, they don't work.

first you say that America's constitution is the supreme law of the land and nobody tells you what to do, then when it comes to some inconvenient truths about your government's 'friends' all of a sudden it's the UN who writes your foreign policy for you! without any consultation!

It is, they can't, and apparently you don't know that by paying UN dues, you contribute to all those bad countries out there, because that's where alotta that money goes. And did you not read the part about how I don't like us being friends with those bad countries and who started it?

As for the rest of your post, basically you just spent the last two pages bitching and whining about how people shouldn't be telling merika what to do then argued that America should be able to do whatever it wants, to whoever it wants, whenever it wants without any repercussions, screw other people's sovereignty etc

I wasn't aware I was 'bitching' or 'whining' simply stating things as they are. And by the way, I was attempting to make the point that every country can do what they want in an effort to say those European countries that are about to get screwed over by the EU because of irresponsible countries like Greece and Spain can tell the EU off.

You are just arguing for exceptionalism.

Well, we are an exceptional country.

I fear this has gone beyond the EU.....

US shares dived as warnings that the global economy was in the "danger zone" sparked panic among investors.

The Dow Jones share index fell 3.5% as part of a global sell-off that saw the main indexes in the UK, Germany and France fall about 5%.

It followed grim warnings from the International Monetary Fund and World Bank about global economic health.

Wall Street follows European sell-off on economy fears

I wonder how long it will take before we can see that the way human nature works in conjunction with how most economies are just doesn't work. You can't have systems that are based off everybody going towards maximizing their own individual greed for that system to function and think ultimately it will ever end well or good things will come out of it in the end.

The Autonomic Region of Madeira budget has a big hole. We found a Greece inside Portugal. The guilty one is Alberto João Jardim, the president of the regional government since 1978. I recommend that us, the Portuguese people, make his will and give to the region the independence from Portugal, in a referendum.
