Colombians have a bitch of a time getting B-2 visas to the US. The drug mule stigma is hard to shed. Your everyday colombian has to wait at the very least 2 years to get a 2 week B-2 visa. But those 2 years are spent getting all sorts of documentation just to get a ticket to see a consular official. Bolivians have it even worse. Venezuelans, have an easier time, they are often better educated than colombians and bolivians. The only folks who have it easy to visit the US are Panamenians. They can get their B-2 in 2 weeks for 6 months.

Ones profession or social status can make it easier or harder depending on what it is. I'm sure a foreign person has an much easier time getting a visa if they are a famous mainstream movie actor or some other type of well known celebrity, for example, than a regular person, especially if they have connections or powerful friends that will vouch for them. Being a pornstar is probably a big hindrance on top of that depending on what official deals with it. I'm sure that doesn't really thrill a lot of them when they make decisions like that once they find out. It's not fair, but that's often the way it is.

The U.S. should change that to reflect the help the Colombian government has given us. But unfortunately the Democrat controlled congress isn't comfortable with their conservative government and blocked our free trade agreement and have given Uribe a ton of problems.
