Ok I will kick off as it were, seeing as I am a Birmingham City fan (yes boo to you too missus!), heres some news important to me:

Question for all..

Which fixture are you most looking forward to?

Although I'm not a fan of either of the 'mancs' teams, I'd love to see united get humiliated by city... home and away !
and I reckon city will never have a better chance of doing it.. :glugglug:

ps#1: Tevez to do 'the dirty' on utd

ps#2 Owen to pull his hamstring, first day of the season (that'll teach ya...)

Well the opening fixture against "The scum", so hopefully we can catch them napping and nick three points.

I suspect Tevez will play his socks off against "the scum" just to prove the point.
You may see the blue side of Manchester triumph this season (they always seem to lift their game in derbies even if the play shite otherwise) but if I were you I wouldn't put your house on it!

Seattle are playing respectably against mighty Chelski at the moment. Lamps just put one in for Chelski to go up 2-0 with 34min in the 1st half.

The Seattle Sounders are a new MLS team headlined by Kasey Keller and Freddie Lunjberg. Rumor has it that Thierry Henry will be coming to Seattle in 2011/2012....

Nice to see some real action again although in fairness to Chelski (they have a full squad out there minus Drogba) they look like they all literally got off the plane at Seattle and ran out to play the game. Not much chem between any of their stars at the moment...

tartanterrier

Is somewhere outhere.
Man City got Adebayor today (Good buisness by the Goons) But I
still think Man City need a decent defense because without it
they will continue to struggle.

From the Beeb:
Manchester City have added to their collection of strikers by signing Arsenal's Emmanuel Adebayor on a five-year deal for a fee of about £25m.

HAPPY DAYS!!!! Thank fcuk Ade-bye-bye is gone....:nanner:

Oh - Arsenal v Spuds (a little matter of sorting out that stupid 4-4 scoreline from last season)

the Emirates in a fortnight - Gives us some more cash :D

Yes what are they thinking?? Well done Mr Wenge (I have always admired his shrewd dealing regarding buying/selling players).

I think Man city are either looking to get all the headlines this summer or he is doing a Chelski job up in the northwest.

Hughes still keen on Terry deal

I think it may just be a matter of money (and time)!
Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has admitted he still hopes to lure Chelsea captain John Terry to Eastlands.

Benitez coy on Alonso Reds future
Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez refused to be drawn on the future of Xabi Alonso when asked if the midfielder would be leaving the club.

Crouch heads for Sunderland talks
Yes I know this old news just thought I would slip it in.
Peter Crouch has flown to the North East for talks with Sunderland boss Steve Bruce after the Black Cats agreed a £12m fee with Portsmouth.

Vieri trial at Blackburn extended
Still life in the old dog?

I think it's a case of 'when' rather than 'if' he goes..

As soon as the asking price (or near to) is met, he'll go.
I'll be very sorry to see him go, it's so typical of managers to sell the best players they have.

A sad current state of English football.

I know this isnt new but it official now. Half decent buy.
Downing joins Villa in £12m move

Sadly, it looks like I was right:

Liverpool confirm Xabi Alonso transfer request
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/

Article says that Benitez will have around 40m to spend, once Alonso goes... he'd better move quick.

It's good to be the king...
Seriously, who cares? The league of mercenaries...and foreign owners, noone outside the UK who really loves The Beautiful Game cares about the Premier League. It's been degraded to a money making machine and has nothing to do with football anymore. Not that there aren't those evil clubs in other leagues, clubs who don't care about the gane, clubs who don't care about their fans and clubs that have amassed debts you don't even wanna know about, but it's a fact that the Premier League is the worst when it comes to the aforementioned things.

All that being said, I still like English football, but only from "The Championship" on and further below.
