End of the 3,000 mile oil change?

What do you guys think? I've always waited a lot longer between than 3,000 miles, and I've had very good luck with my cars.

“There was a time when the 3,000 miles was a good guideline,” said Philip Reed, senior consumer advice editor for the car site Edmunds.com. “But it’s no longer true for any car bought in the last seven or eight years.”


If the manufacturers get behind this, and people start believing it, it could mean a lot less used oil hanging around...
