Embedding.

Making a correction to your post. Might cause some confusion. GC is right except leave out the period between you and tube.:hatsoff:

do you use the the youtube quotes even for embed that are not from youtube?

You can not embed any other videos than YouTube videos.

Need help with this please, apparently I am fucking retarded. Where do I put input that information? Directly into the text box? in the "upload video" area or where?

I think they should have an "Insert Youtube Video" button right beside the "Insert Image" button.

Of course, if you don't like that idea, I'll press my "Insert Penis" button, and you get to pick into which of your holes is goes.

Correct me if I'm wrong here...the only "tube" site allowed is "youtube"?
Why would links to other sites that do not post stolen content, or any subject matter ****** in the rules, not be allowed?

^^ Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can post links to other video sites. However, the only ones that can be embedded are YouTube videos. If your link comes up with ****, then that site is ****** from FO. Attempting to circumvent the censor would be very disadvantageous to your membership.

oookay, so what if I embedded a youtube video but it was disabled by request, Watch on Youtube. who disabled it and why? did I do something wrong?

If it says 'this video has been disabled by request', that's not your fault. The uploader of the video has the option of whether to allow embedding of their video. Some people choose not to allow it (I couldn't tell you why. I allow embedding in all of my vids). So, no, you did nothing wrong and there's no way around it - unless you want to go through the hassle of trying to talk the uploader into changing his/her settings. Good luck there. Just move on to another video.

I think some people choose not to embed it so it has less chances of ending up on 3rd party blogs and other sites. Personally, I don't see why it matters. If you don't want strangers viewing your videos, set it to private.

So its ok to post a link to YouTube as well as being able to embed a YT video?
I tried to post a link to youtube ages ago and it was removed and i was told YT is ******.
