Man, I saw the tribute that they pay for him in the site www.wwe.com (a video) and I could stop crying. I really liked his performance... Rest in Peace Eddie, Adieu.
With the recent passing of Eddie Guerrero and the suspension of Eugene, it is definitely time for WWE to step up to the plate. A meeting will be held later today informing the talent of the new policy. This comes on the heels of Major League Baseball stepping up their policy as well. The media will no doubt pick this up and likely tear it apart but it can be considered as nothing but good for the state of the company.
In a joint meeting today with the Raw and SmackDown rosters in the United Kingdom, in Sheffield, Vince McMahon announced that within the next several weeks, a new drug testing policy will be implemented in which performance enhancing drugs, such as steroids, etc., recreational drugs, as well as abuse of prescription drugs will be banned.
In addition to the new drug testing procedure, there will also be an emphasis on cardio vascular examinations.
The specifics of the drug policy will be announced over the next several weeks. More details to follow. Check with wwe.com for the latest information.
It's great to hear that they are taking the initiative on drug testing.americanharley said:WWE is taking some extra precautions now

After regaining consciousness, Dinsmore admitting to taking Somas and other prescription medication. As a result of the incident, he was sent home from the WWE International tour and suspended indefinitely.
Since returning home, Dinsmore has agreed to seek professional help. He flew to an undisclosed location, where he will spend the next two weeks being evaluated at a drug rehabilitation facility.

Sad, but you have to give the guy a break. Not only does he have to play out the Eugene gimmick on tv, but he also has to keep it going anytime he is in public.
I hate to be corny, but to quote Carlito, "That, thats cool:thumbsup:deeeze2 said:Damn, this tragedy has even touched the porn world

"I feel like this week is the first time I have actually had time to sit down and watch some of my favorite shows. Speaking of which, I saw a few Sundays ago Eddie Guerrero from the WWE passed away. I have been watching Eddie for so many years I was so upset about him passing away so young. I did watch the shows the following week where they did "Remembering Eddie Gurrero" it was heart breaking. "
We will truly be missed by all
Although the consensus is that drug testing is in the company's best interest, few WWE wrestlers believe it will actually be a long-term, fully-enforced policy, reports PWTorch.com.
"That'll last as long as it works to Vince's favor in a PR sense," one wrestler said. "Look at the roster. How many guys would they have to suspend if they really test everyone for steroids? It's a little overambitious sounding to me."
The wrestler also believes that the diehard mentality of wrestlers prevents the lifestyle problem (which, in many cases, could result in drug use) from easily being solved.
"Wrestlers won't ask for time off unless they're about to die," he said.
There are, however, some wrestlers who are legitimately nervous about the policy, fearing either losing size due to loss of steroids or having a major addiction problem revealed to the industry.
