So I'm thinking of picking up a pair of these gaming headphones. I originally wanted the $60 wireless headset from microsoft, but I can live with a cable running from the headphones to the controller. My thought process is now I can have the volume up without disturbing the girlfriend and having her yell at me to turn it down. It's 100 bucks. Anyone have a pair of these? I was looking at the X4s but I'm not gonna spend 200 bucks for fuckin headphones especially when the X3 is getting better reviews than the X4!

I bought these headphones about a month ago. It is pretty good but I think they could be better for the price. The sounds somestimes gets distorted and fuzzy if you turn up the volume too much. I usually keep it pretty low and it is still at a decent volume. They are pretty comfortable too and the mic is nice and easy to adjust to wherever you want. I would recomend it for keeping others quiet. Only problem Ive had is when you plug it into the controller you have two conflicting volume controls so sometimes you may get double voices from players.

is the sound directional? I know its not 5.1 dolby, but like I said, I'm not paying 200 bucks for the x4 which has 5.1. But if something is behind you are you able to tell its behind you? Thanks for info!

Hell I might still just pick up the wireless microsoft headset for now at least and wait on the headphones. I still want to get a nice surround sound anyway.

Sorta, I mean I can tell when an enemy is behind me or to the right or left of me while playing CoD. So there must be some kind of direct.
