Prosecuting her, really? This activity is a sport on college campuses. Whenever it rains, people deliberately try to splash those who stand too close to the road. It's good clean fun. It's water, for fuck's sake, it's not like she's throwing bleach on them. If anything, this lady should be commended for preparing these kids for the future. Eventually, they're going to learn to stand back from the road. That way, when they're college freshman, they can laugh at the students who get splashed. It's the circle of life - learn and move on.

You said that the driver shouldn't have to drive down a different road to avoid the kids, but they splashed them ON PURPOSE. They also appeared to be going over the speed limit. If they had killed a school child who happened to be crossing the street, I'm sure your response would be very different.
