Dream car?? Reality??

Unlike most of you, I choose my dreamcar as a passenger. I have - and can't get no - driver's licence.

So I pick the long version of the Maybach, the 62. The AMG version, of course.

The reason why I pick this car:

I used to always want a Lamborghini, Diablo, Murcielago, Gallardo etc.. didn't matter which one. I rented a 2013 Chevy Camaro SS which was awesome. I drive a 2006 Acura RSX which I love.

I feel I have to elaborate a bit on the idea of what a "Dream Car" could also be:

I would very much like to have a private railroad car that I could travel through Europe and neighbouring areas with, given the rails fit. I am yet unsure if I would prefer a vintae "Wild Wild West"-style car (Or a combined doubkle-car, as I would like to have a large number of areas in it/them, or a high-end, futuristic traincar, suitable also to ride along our highspeed train ICE, which I then would more like to be something like "Train Force One".

I'm 6'4 so I don't fit in most of the great dream cars. One that I do is '72 240Z and drove one for 20 years. So I would like a dream garage with several 240Z. One low mileage stock, another SCCA GT2 race prep, a East Africa Safari Rally prep, another with Ferrari GTO body kit and a Ferrari Daytona GT convertible kit. Also I wouldn't mind a '73 Porsche 911 Carrera that's pre-turbo with the "Carrera" script on the doors.

Sweet thought

I'll match Just BC, and go with the Lambo Reventon, for a dream car.

I currently drive a 2004 Mustang / Terminator SVT Cobra. I put a K&N cold air intake on it, so it puts out 422HP. Bought it new, and every Spring when I put it back on the road, I have this ear-to-ear grin the first few times I drive it.

I've the 2015 4 cyl. ecoboost turbo version at 310 hp. what should I upgrade first to boost power? apparently, i can go all out with upgrades and smoke a GT, but I'm looking entry level. I'd rather upgrade my wheels first.

I met a gal a couple of weeks ago that enjoyed pleasuring herself with a dildo with the girth of a fire hydrant and powered with a 25 HP Briggs and Stratton. I think she got the Ecoboost option too.

how many crowds did you hit?

288GTO: Uh .. what?!? No accidents in the Stang (thankfully). And, no tickets! (Got out of one going 80MPH, because of who my employer was.)

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.

I got the Limited just because I wanted a sunroof. Crazy cool cars, eh? I thought my modified Stage 2 WRX was a bad little beast. But this thing scared me after I had it modified to Stage 2+. I've driven some very fast cars in my life. But this one has speed and crazy handling. 400+ horsepower out of a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder is insane! :banger: You can go to Stage 3 (throw in a bigger turbo, injectors, fuel pump and intercooler) and get a streetable 500 horsepower. The shop that did my car had a drift STI in the back. They told me that it was pumping out around 800 horsepower - I think that it also had nitrous... I'm not sure. But you could smell the :wallet: that had gone into just the engine.

I looked at the AMG CLA45 before I ordered this car. With the mods, I've got more horsepower and better handling than the Benz for less total $. OK, so it's not a Mercedes... big whoop for that overpriced three pointed star on the hood. The same thing happened when I bought the WRX years ago. It beat out the Jag X-type and the Audi A3 (or A4? I forget). You can do SO much to modify these cars and get so much bang for the buck. And on top of that, unlike the fragile, troublesome CLA based Benz, this thing will run trouble free for YEARS!

that's a huge list, but here it goes:
ferrari 288 gto
ferrari 550 maranello
ferrari 456 GT
porsche 911 turbo 930
porsche carrera GT
porsche 959
Lamborghini Diablo SV
Lamborghini Countach 25th anni
Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 1999
Nissan 200sx S13 hatch
Opel Rekord coupe 1967
Opel manta A
Ford capri mk3
Honda S2000
Buick GSX
Buick GNX
1969 Dodge Charger
Dodge challenger both new and old
and the list goes on....
and I drive a 1998 opel corsa b, 1.4l 16v X14XE engine with lower front suspension.

Very cool dream list. I especially like the Ferrari 288 GTO and the Porsche 959. I guess my dream car is a Series 1 or 1.5 Jaguar E-type - 4.2 liter. As a kid, my dream car was the Daytona Charger (or the Plymouth Superbird). Where I grew up, anything that wasn't a Chevy or Ford was considered "exotic". So I liked Dodge Chargers and Challengers, Plymouth Roadrunners and Cudas.

I don't know the 2.3 Ecoboost's potential. But I know that on the 2.5 liter EJ257 Subie engine used in the current STI, going to Stage 2+ (intake, full exhaust -> including downpipe, Accessport ECU management and a pro tune) will give about 100 horsepower. I just looked at the Cobb site and they make an Accessport for your car too. But if you just want to keep it simple, inexpensive and protect your warranty, a catback exhaust and an intake will give you enough of a horsepower boost that you'll notice. Plus, it'll sound better, so you'll think that it makes more power. And really, that's all that matters anyway, unless you go to the track. The po-po will take your license around here for stop light drag racing. :D
