I first remember her from Remington Steele then Everybody Loves Raymond. She was very funny in both shows, and I will miss her work.
I remember her sharing a story on a Late Night show, she was apparently friends with Sir Lawrence Olivier's wife. His wife asked him to call Doris and give her a message, instead he got the answering machine. He started to leave a message, started spluttering, then swearing, and finally "I **** these damn things!" then hung up.
She said she still had the tape.
