Meh. Who knows for sure. He shouldn't be on this season but Fox paid him a ludicrous amount of millions to stay on so people can continue to be amused by his harsh words and ability to make people cry and crush their hopes and dreams.

I, rarely, watch the first two or so episodes when it is in the audition stage. Lately however I haven't even watched those. Normally The Soup on E! keeps me up to date with crap like that.

Oh, I enjoyed Carrie Underwood 's performances and her way since,and David Cook, too.

And I guess for the hilariousity of the shows with Paula Abdul, it's all worth it

Never seen an episode of American Idol. I hate reality TV shows, it shows that there either is no more imagination from TV writers and producers or no guts to produce a show that would have huge ratings for fear of offending someone. So I hope no more Simon means no more American Idol which maybe will force Fox to come up with a good idea for a good show that is not another reality show, a second coming of the X-Files.
