as many have state obama makes a great canidate charisma wise but he does not have the political experience. lets face it, it going to a stong and political knowing president to get us out of this current mess. basically we faced a similar situation in the late 70s but then came a stong president in 1980 and turned things around quickly. do you think obama can do the same or even better.

i say maybe only because he is so inexperienced but you never know. even w/ a great cabinet he will has some large issues and obsticles to overcome

does obama have what it takes?

hmmmm... what do you need to be president?
money? powerful friends? make promises?

bah, they're all the same (politicians)...

He delivers great pie-in-the-sky utopian socialist speeches when the teleprompter is working, but he has offered absolutely nothing substantive. Whenever he tries to talk about his proposed policies, he invariably has to come back a few days later and modify, clarify, reiterate, or completely retract. He can't handle the same tough questions posed to other candidates and he has not shown the ability to withstand the scrutiny of a presidential campaign. He's all style, no substance.
Yes, I'm a Republican, but I think John McCain was just put in place in case the Democrats can't win with their own candidate.

I don't think either Obama or McCain have what it takes but political experience is ridiculously overrated. What do they need to be experienced in, being corrupt, selling out, and getting initiated into the system like everybody else has? No thanks.

does anybody really think mcCain is going to get our soldiers out of iraq? i think most people will vote obama just for that reason. does he have what it takes?..i don't think so, but i do think majority will vote him for an end to this war.

nope...too liberal...I cannot see him lead the military

Doesn't feed trolls and would appreciate it if you
I think the whole "experience" thing is a load of crap. Just as D-rock said, what is it exactly they have experience in...?

I was listening to either CNN or NPR (can't remember which) where the fellow on the air was talking about how often experience in Washington was experience in doing things wrong, and how Obama's campaign ought to really press on that.

Again, ask yourself: experience in what? Even if we aren't as pessimistic as D-rock, it's a worthy question to ask. An interesting article I read in the Oregonian here mentioned how much of today's political experience is basically cold war politics, and how the US seems to be one of the last countries to really move away from that (totally uneducated in the matter myself).

In any case, if the choice is between evil and incompetence, I'll probably go with the ladder. At least flukes can happen. :dunno:

I say we should give him a chance because the plenty of politicians with so called "political experience" certainly haven't done anything for the American people lately. Who knows, maybe his so called "lack of experience" is just what America needs. Someone who hasn't really been indoctrinated by congress.

I went with maybe because honestly we really don't know.

My whole problem with Obama is that he is being put up on a pedestal like some kind of god. He is really big with college students that want to show they aren't racists by voting for the first black president. And that fat pig Oprah was trying to turn him into a god as well. It's almost as if his entire campaign is based around him being a cool guy.

I don't need the presidential elections turning into some hollywood bullshit where we start voting for the coolest candidate.

Also Obama's wife comes off like a total rich racist piece of shit.

Money is what it takes and Obama has a lot more money then McCain. So yes Obama has what it takes.

Also now that I think of it McCain will probably be the next president easily. The same people that want Obama wanted John Kerry in the last election. There was a huge out cry for CHANGE and all these college students and liberals made it seem like John Kerry would win hands down. We know how that turned out.
