I think not, although it hasn't been quite as bad recently

What do you think?. Where does it all come from?

In the poll i predict that about 95% will be towards no

Small typo in the poll there

Lucky the majority don't care about rep, eh

What a wonderfully deep question. I must say that I do not know as I'm still a new fellow and haven't seen many of your posts. However I would assume that since you actually do have rep then you must have made some quality posts.

I'll answer this question honestly. Since there really isn't any rhyme or reason as to why rep is given out, posts in all sections do not actually show up in your post count (like in the games section....those posts don't actually count in your total...but posts in there can be repped), and the word quality means different things to different people (for example, some people on here value pics, links, and being able to ID someone....I on the other hand value intelligent and cogent comments), the answer is that your question is impossible to really answer. You could go and take your rep power and divide it by your total posts, and then compare that average with others to see how much your posts are valued...but like I said, that really isn't all that meaningful for the reasons I already mentioned.

what the fuck you lookin at?
rep doesn't reflect ****, except for the fact you insist on posting **** in the "i'd rep so and such for whatever stupid fuck reason" thread.

You misspelled why in the poll. Really? A three letter word?

And what's with all the rep threads? Were your drop kicked as a baby?

Do you have a degree in English, why the fuck do you care that i typed one word wrong?
If you actually read the post, i mentioned that i misspelled it, you can't edit polls without the help of a mod. A typo.

I spelled every word in this post immaculately, happy?

Yes, I do. As a matter of fact, I teach English.

And while your spelling improved, your lack of capitalization and proper punctuation still irks me. Remedy that. It makes all of your posts look like they were written by a little school girl:

liek OMG, i gots soooo much rep for posting irrelevant bullshit. teh lolz.

Fine as English is your subject, maths and physics are mine. I got a C in my English exam at school but an A in both maths and physics, So punctuation and spelling was never going to be my strong point.

You have an English degree, I will soon have one in Engineering as i am in my last year of a masters degree at the university of Strathclyde, the best university in Scotland for engineering.

So you are still most likely smarter than me, but that does not necessarily mean that i lack brain power

^^ Sorry to break up the back-and-forth, but I just wanted to add my :2 cents:

Rep, in my view, demonstrates appreciation and respect for others on the board. If an OP or OCSM post something I agree with or posts something that makes me laugh (or posts hot photos) or makes a very intelligent point, I show them my respect with rep. I'm sure everyone has different criteria, but I think it's nice to get rep because it means someone else appreciates what you had to contribute. The number of points don't matter, it's the thought that counts, IMO. :)
