Haha, you're fine. I'll admit, sometimes I read your threads and have an audible snort of amusement. I'm still convinced you're Vince McMahon, so that helps. As for perks, if you enjoy headaches, putting people into corners, breaking up e-fights, deleting spam, answering PMs about IDing models (even though the welcome messages says please don't do that), or sorting out answers to contests long expired circa 2006, this is your job!
The board is only a tiny fraction of things I do on the day to day, but as crazy as this place is, I do love it way more than I should. Our other mods are volunteers and help us quite a bit on their own time.
Best part of the job? Access to Petra and Regina's office chairs. You figure out the rest.
As for classic moments in moderation, there's a couple members whose user names are actually censored. And for very interesting reasons, let's just say that.

The only reason she screamed was because I had a twin. But at about 8 1/2 months, I decided there was only room in this world for one of us.

I share your opinion but also know others on the board may have different experiences than we do. I worked the door for years and have already had worse stuff said to my face with eye contact than any insignificant internet dingleberry could possibly unleash on me here on their best day while on steroids and meth. You seem to have a pretty crusty and calloused starfish too.
Maybe take away the ignore button for 2 weeks as an experiment. Have the mods smoke the drapes for 14 days so they are less alert also being too high to be bothered by a middle-aged man's whining about another middle-aged man's bitching.
The ignore button is totally ridiculous, I would also same the same about half the mods on here. There have been many posts about the forum dying a death etc.. The mods need to be made culpable for a lot of this. The wrong people in the wrong position in many cases. Having said all that I really don't give a shit

Never used it until recently. I just got fed up with their posts (pictures) because they didn't appeal to me in the slightest and were the same over and over again. Definitely breaking the Trade Description Act by posting in 'Most Beautiful......' threads when they were far from that
