I use to have ONE hair on the chest. I removed it. It never came back.

Trim yes (as in shorten).

I have trimmed/cut my own hair for many years so when I got the barbershop open I trim my chest hair also, its just a cleaner look, but I am not that hairy to begin with. Just run a tight ship for the ladies.

I also don't let the shrubs grow too tall down by the telephone pole either, I like to keep the playground looking good for the ladies.
