Just yes or no please. I'm interested to see if I fall in the majority or minority. I see more and more people in Los Angeles with tattoos and wanted to know if I was original and being rebellious for resisting getting one.

No, I have two.

One of which will be..dealt with later.

Nope

Hate to say "Never" but I would say almost 100% certainty I never will. I just don't understand the fascination with them and I have no desire to ruin my body with one.

IF I was to get one it would be for a niece/nephew who died (since I have no kids) or parent dying or something like that but odds are not gonna get one ever

NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER GET ONE OF A SPOUSE!!!!!!!!!!! The second you do that marriage is OVER and now you gotta live with it or have it lasered off

Also, if you have a tattoo(s) let us know about them and what they mean to you. If you have tattoo or tattoos you have a tattoo so your vote would be "yes".

The first one I got is on my left bicep. It's a woman from the boobs up. They're covered in a black top, except the nipples are poking through. It's grey and black shaded, (I guess "toned" would be the word I'm looking for), except for the eyes (green) and the nipples (red). The best way to describe it would be that it looks semi-comic book style, but not as detailed as they are now. I'd like to get the colors redone at some point (thanks for reminding me.)

The reason I got that one is because it represents stability to me. Tastes may change, but my enthusiasm for the female form won't.

The second one is the Zeppelin runes - that's the one I'm going to get either covered or removed. It's a long story, but I'll just say that a bad breakup and a decent into the bottle and the blues can really open your eyes.

Thanks for that. I don't have tattoos but have a habit of walking up to people asking them about theirs. I've heard some interesting stories.

I think the reason I never got a tattoo is that I've gone through changes in my life and never found a design I could commit to for life. If I got a tattoo it might be the Black Sabbath logo on an arm somewhere.

That's the reason I didn't get any until I was a certain age. I wanted to wait until I was sure.

I was right the first time...the second, not so much. Although, in all fairness, I thought I was just as sure about the second one.

I have "Taz" on my upper right arm because I was 20 when I had it done. On my upper left arm I have a penguin as a tribute to my mother.

I have 3.

1st: My grim reaper tat on my right bicep.
Meaning: I like the grim reaper imagery and believe that there isn't a SINGLE thing on this planet with the same level of certainty than death.

2nd: "\m/" symbol by a demon's hand surrounded by fire over my left pectoral muscle (aka heart).
Meaning: Music got me through the worst times of my teenage and 20's, specifically rock and metal. I'll always have a love (hence why it's over my heart) and appreciation for all that metal stands for, despite the cringe worth attempt of today's metal scene.

3rd: Vampire sitting on a throne surrounded by bats covering the left half of my stomach.
Meaning: Inspired from the notion that Vampires have no soul and only live for themselves, it's a symbol that means one should never put anyone else before their own needs.

I want more, at least 5 more, but won't say what they are or their meanings until I actually get them.

Nope, why should I get one? I'd rather buy a porn movie and that 5 minutes long erotic experience will already last longer than a tattoo...

I have seven small pieces. 2 Zodiac symbols, a number, four symbols connected to comics, sport or TV. Six related to family, friends or groups of friends that have been there the most for me and supported me through my worst crises and traumas. Apart from the Decepticon symbol, that's just for me. For my first session I gave serious thought to what I wanted on my body for the rest of my life, and it was the people that have made the most indelible impression on who I am that I wanted representing. There will be more.

I was thinking about what to get and planning mine for years, as I kept going back and forth about the statement I wanted to make and different ideas felt right for a while and then... didn't. Then over the last few years lots of people (including many friends) just got stuff done because they thought it "looked cool" and it felt like too much of a trend, like the fucking hipster beard everyone's growing these days, and I thought I might not get mine at all. But then I realized I wanted to get it done for ME and fuck what everyone else was doing. I wanted one when nobody I knew had them, and I still wanted one. I'm very happy with what I have, and I want a whole lot more done. I've got dozens of ideas.

Hehehe. YES ;)

You sure do, you cheeky minx.

None for me. I have nothing against tattoos at all and find many heavy tattooed woman extremely attractive. Tattoos just won't make it onto me.

In girls some little discrete tattoo it could be

Ladies gotta be careful with tattoos so they don't look like biker mamas or street hookers. I know this Korean gal who has so much stuff scribbled on her it looks like she tattooed an argument with herself on herself. I've had better artwork put on me after passing out by friends with Sharpies.
