There were far worse choices made than their choice of actress in the Tomb Raider movies...Will we ever really see video game-to-movies becoming successful like comics-to-movies have (more or less)?
Anyways...
Samus Aran, easy. She's one of gaming's most powerful characters, much less just female gaming characters...You played through the first game going around shooting the shit outta alien monsters & space pirates and then they throw that final bombshell on you: she's a girl! She wasn't a damsel in distress, she wasn't working out daddy issues, she was just plain kicking major ass all over the cosmos.
Chun-Li from the Street Fighter series & Mai Shiranui from the King of Fighters & Fatal Fury games also get major props...Chun-Li was great from her original cheater throws to her victory shout of "Ya ta!" and, of course, her great costumes...I like both her regular & Alpha outfits (though my fav was her regular one in black...she's in mourning after all!)...Mai for basically being the precursor for the Dead or Alive girls..."Mai bouncy!" is the best victory shout ever.
