Do you gamble?

No I dont gamble, 99% of the people never win in the long run.

This. It doesn't matter how much money you win, believe me if you keep gambling you're going to give it all back and then some. ;)

I have gambled. I think at this point I've lost about $100 in my lifetime. I've never had a wonderful, or even semi-exciting experience gambling. Usually, when I have won, it made up for most of the money I lost. Once on business, I stayed at Caesar's Palace for a week. I gambled a little, lost some money as usual, but I really enjoyed their swimming pool. That was the best feature of that place as far as I was concerned.

Used to gamble and go to the horses quite a bit. Then just stopped going and now i haven`t had a bet for a while now.

Well, let's see.....I'm a 18 year card dealer. I deal poker, I'm a 5 year veteran of the WSOP and I deal every poker game in existence. For the last 2 years I've given up on the thankless job of dealing tournaments and try to stick with the live game section at the WSOP whenever possible. In this particular job, you go where they send you but they know that I prefer the high limit section (known as the snakepit). I also deal every pit game in existence except baccarat, craps and roullette.

In terms of playing, I would play 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo if there was a consistent game, so I play Omaha Hi/Lo because there is. I also play roullette on occasion, where I play the numbers that are on the electronic board that most wheels have these days (repeat numbers). Once or twice a year I'll play Pai-Gow and I stay strictly away from the Blackjack tables.

I'd gamble all my money on winning your heart! :shy:

Seriously, you need your fuckin' head examined. You're starting to scare me now.

I just bet the trotters, Yonkers and The Meadowlands for me with an occasional foray to Balmoral, Cal Expo and Woodbine harness.

I'll go to a casino once in a while for a birthday or something. A lot of my friends are heavy gamblers, so I'll tag along and follow their lead. I usually don't spend more than $100. But sports betting I'm all about. I play proline every week during football season and will occasionally play some hockey. I always take the underdog in boxing and MMA and in baseball I take the ace and the over. At the beginning of the season I always try and keep track of winnings and losses, but I always lose track. If I had to guess, I've probably won 4-5x more than I've spent on proline. Never bet on your own team!

So you work for Caesars Entertainment too? :D The WSOP room at our location is freaking beautiful..

We're also opening up a Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville which I am ecstatic about! :D

The only thing I like about going to casinos is the groovy oxygen that they pump all through the place,

The few times I have gambled I have come out of top, but I guess if I start going more frequently that would probably be untrue. I'm not a big fan of it but I don't down those like to go often.

As long as it doesn't ruin your life. People are addicted.

Poooooorn.. more pooorn....

I'm a contract dealer so I work for Caesars when I have to. They own the WSOP franchise, so I work for them at the WSOP and the circuit events I've worked in the past.

You should know that Caesars is considered the Evil Empire. Make sure you carefully read everything you sign. And never trust them. No one actually likes working for them. We just do so because there really isn't much choice.

I will buy a raffle ticket, if it's a good cause, and I like the prize. I enjoy playing cards with my friends...we play a friendly game, cards rule. And I have been to the casino in Cleveland once, played some slots, lost almost all of it, won it all back, except about the cost of the 4 beers I drank...so I did good.

I bought 10 reverse raffle tickets on Saturday, lost. Played one round of Left, Right, Center, lost 3 bucks, and lost about 8 bucks playing cards. Not to bad.

No I don't. My uncle killed himself after a decade of gambling addiction and after losing everything he had, and my mom made me promise when I was 9 that I wouldn't get into gambling so...yeah, no. I've seen what it can do to people.

I feel for your loss but people make their own choices in this world and when they do sometimes very sad things happen. R.I.P.

Biggest win was on a horse. Her name was Peace Pledge. Saw her on a simulcast throw the rider out of the gate and ran a perfect race. Licking my chops for her next time out. $40 to win at 13-1 and I collect $560. A month later me and my girl plan an Atlantic City trip where we get there to see her her run in another state. 14 horses in the race at the same conditions and distance. I make a token bet $5 win $2 place and show. Her odds climb to 80-1 and I tell my girlfriend that I want to make another bet. Match my original bet and put another $20 across the board. I didn't tell her about the 20 across. The horse in deep stretch is much the best. $175 to win, $80 to place, $50 to show. I go to the window to collect $1150 and my girl is ecstatic. Hand her $500 to go have some slot fun. When she's not looking I go back to the window to cash my other tickets for another $3500. Do you know how hard it is to hide that much money from a woman for an entire weekend?

No, I get that, it was my uncles choice to start gambling. And it was his choice to continue gambling, and his choice to end his life rather than get help. Thats exactly why I'm refraining from making the choice to gamble because no matter how much control you think you have over things like gambling, drinking, drugs, shopping, eating...WHATEVER....sometimes you don't realize just how far into it you are until its too late.
