...what an awesome post - imo.

This is what they teach you in auto mechanics school? :)

Naw, in auto school you learn about kunudler valves and exhaust bearings :)

That's somthing I learned in Afganistan, while I was in The Army

:2 cents: Karma is cosmic irony. Your actions have unpredictable and far reaching effects. All you can do is accept your karma and live with as much virtue as you can muster.

So basically thinking or worrying about it is next to useless.

I think Karma is real. Absolutely.

I don't think it's mystical... I think its just cause and effect. And I don't think its long term like some of you are.

Im thinking more along the lines of your nice to a person and they are nice to you back... Not "I didn't eat my vegetables and now Im being gunned down by some maniacs 10 years later."

Read my little story. Garuda was worried about the small bird, but his actions in the end harmed the animal in the worst way. Were his thoughts bad? No quite the opposite!

To think and worry is to assume what karma will do. None of us knows what the future holds, but are actions now, will be reflected in the waters of futurity, and enternity.

Dr. Martin Luther King said somthing along the lines of "If a man is said to be a street sweeper, then let that man sweep the streets with the same passion he loves his wife, cares for his children, and Kings have ruled empires"
That's about the best single quote for karma. The past and the future are not in our control, but our present is. Take your time and love what you do, you only have what is right in front of you, and it's your karma.

Love and embrace your karma, it's your life.

I always been a believer in "What goes around, comes around".
individuals are responsible for his or her own actions and karma. There is no God involved. Every action you take will have a repercussion in the future, and you have to live with the consequences of your actions. That's apparent in every day life.

Mcrocket you truly have the gift of Commander of The Army. I know that me and my men would follow you.

A bloodbath, hedonistic, murder does not fit in with Army service, that was proven by Hitler, Pol Pot, and Stalin. Yet a soft spoken, intelligent, conscious Man does. Someone who has his/her pulse on the life of the world does.

Any soldier who has ides that differ from that are not soldiers. To give a better life to the few is the job of the Commander. to commit resources for the few is the pride of the Army. Slop, hate, and pain is the soldier, we are what makes the world. For better or worse, the soldier and the Commander, truly dictate through triage and battle the course of EARTH.

LONG LIVE THE ARMY, AND THOSE WHO HAVE THE TRUE COURAGE TO COMMAND.

I do believe in Karma in the sense that what goes around comes around, but "no good deed shall go unpunished" seems like my life story as well as "nice guys finish last". I believe that things happen for a reason, not to get preachy or anything, but it does. All my life i wanted kids and couldnt find anyone to bear them with me, i am a virtual energizer bunny with vast amounts of energy (no brag, just truth) and women seemed to get tired of that after a bit. My ex-wife chased me for a while before we dated but i knew she had a boyfriend so i stayed away and didnt want to cause trouble. One nite in april of 1999, all my friends at work wanted to go out and just hang out after work, but all i wanted to do was go to Meijer and go home cause i got out at 2am and hadda be back at 2pm, so i just wanted to crash and do it all over again.
I'll try to be short, long story short, after work i had a thought "wal-mart", yeah i'll go there. I wasnt out of the car 6 seconds and somebody was yelling my name, it was my ex-wife playing taxi for her friends. We talked for 2 hours and i finally asked her out. We were married 5 months later and my son was born in 2000, he bruised her gall bladder and is the spitting image of me. poor thing.
Anyway, we separated in 2002, i have the kids and she has a life.:1orglaugh but raising them on my own (my daughter was born in jan 2002 and was 6 months old when her mother left) has made me realize that i wasn t meant to have them when i was younger, i wouldnt have had the patience or the willpower. I do believe that fate/karma/destiny held off until i was old enough to deal with them. so......thats my story. thanks for reading.:D

I am very flattered.

There is no more important profession in the world then raising parents. IF you are good at it then you have a ton of respect from me - for whatever that is worth to you.
If you are great at it and will always be great at it then you have my unending respect.
99.99% of what goes on here means shit compared to being a great parent.

I wish you and especially your children well.

UGH!!! Here is where that 5 minute edit limit bit me in the ass - a bit.

I meant...'raising children.' Not ...'raising parents.'

Although there maybe some truth to that.:)

Please add 5 or 10 minutes to the edit limit Freeones.

Maybe it wouldn't have happened if you hadn't double-posted (you can quote and respond to more than one person in a response, ya know lol)... ;) :1orglaugh

I agree, though, mcrocket. Raising children properly is the very most important occupation and priority any parent can ever have. Unfortunately, many people aren't fit for the job and it's reflected in society... :(

I belive in Karma. If you do something good you will be thanked and the people who you helped will help you or do something for you back.Being honest and show recognition to people who desserve it generally pays back.

no.. because i believe that we'll be judged after death.. if there's a karma, the rewards and punishments is being applied during life and that makes my belief totally senseless..

I don't believe in Karma as a religious belief, but I do acknowledge that it is a truth of life. I know it as "you reap what you sow", and "what goes around comes around".

:violent: i'm more of "i have to see it to belive it" guy.
