However, some do seem a bit disturbed when I pull out the camera with the telescopic lens...especially when I stoop down for that "special" shot.

^^^ I agree with this. I think it also depends on whether she's with someone (a female friend or especially her boyfriend/husband). I don't mind if a guy casually checks out the girl I'm with (it's kind of a compliment, IMO). But once it becomes a long stare or becomes creepy, I'm not up for that... and she better not be either.

I think this is one (of VERY few) instances where women and men are alike:

It all depends on who's doing the "checking out" and how they're doing it.If you're discreet,slightly flirtatious,and not creepy,it's all good.

If I'm on the recieving end of it,it can be an ego-boost,as long as the person doing it isn't a ***** of some sort.
