firewater to an injun? isnt that illegal? I have heard that in some parts of Alaska alcohol is forbidden completely because the natives cant be trusted with it, I have heard that possession of alcohol in these areas is a very serious crime, any truth to that?

only in certain native villages...they all have their own rules on that sort of thing, many are dry but not all, a lot of the villages that allow alcohol do have restrictions though, each person is permitted a certain amount of beer, a certain amount of hard alcohol and a certain amount of wine etc per month. all of the normal developed towns and cities have the usual alcohol laws though, it's just in the villages that it's restricted. there's actually a fair amount of bootlegging alcohol into dry villages that goes on, good money if you know someone with a bush plane i've heard...oh and they are allowed to drink the same as anyone else when they're not in their village btw, they're regular citizens..
