Well, as the title says, do they ever get bored of what they do.

Sure we all love sex, but to do it for a living? Im reminded of the old friends gynaecologist joke "If I see one more cup of coffee...". We've all dreaded going to work at some point (those of us who do work) and though "not again", you ever think pornstars wake up and think "ugh, have to get fucked again". Surely like everything its gonna get boring.

In all fairness with some pornstars I get tired of seeing them, in fact some you get the impression that they get bored themselves of being seen. Work starting to dip in quality, a look of simply not giving a shit anymore when it comes to doing the task at hand, disapearing and then coming back in odd cameos to the point where they just seem to disapear with no explanation.

Is this why so many end up on drugs, its not exactly a small market anymore, with every girl next door thinking she can start a website and have random people pay to watch her suck off her boyfriend time and time again. (Heather deepthroat springs to mind, that talent got bored after the second video - "oh look, she can deep throat......that dog has no tail" attention span holding stuff!)

It used to be a choice market dare I say, but now to stay ahead or be taken notice of you have to take more and more bizarre steps. Name me one new star that you like, that you could say to someone else and have them instantly know who you mean? Or doesnt fit a boring cliche that blends into a crowd after the second set of pics or video.

Taking it in the ass is a fine hobby, but can you make a lasting career out of it, I ask you?

I don't think that being a porn star is a mon-fri, 8 am-5 pm job, so I'm not entirely sure if the above example applies, but I do believe that after a day on the set they're not going to fuck their boyfriends/husbands as soon as they get home.

Possibly, or they're simply not very impressed with what's being done (& if that is the case, they're bad actresses).

I don't know if many American pornstars end up on drugs, but I know only of a few cases.

I'm not sure most viewers of porn ever notice the pornstar and I'm not too sure that has ever been the case. Never forget that the people visiting forums such as these are only a relatively small part of the amount of people that watch porn & that outside of forums such as this one people generally don't care what a girl's alias is, where she's from or who she is.

Camgirls & girls with their own sites focus mainly on people such as us and since we all have different tastes, I do believe that every single girl gets her own group of fans.

Of course there might also be girls who come to the conclusion they've made the wrong career move after 1 or 2 movies & quit soon afterwards (or their family finds out & manages to persuade the girl to quit, or...).

The successful female porn stars don't just make movies, they appear in porn mags and run their own website, so they can make money even if they don't appear in many films. Well I never get bored but then again I only shot 6 movies a year for Vivid and 3 in two years for my own company. Shooting for Vivid was always fun because there was actual dialog and scripts involved. Everyone there was always a blast from the lighting guys to the on set photographers.
I shot a few gonzo scenes GG stuff and it was so fun and so easy I remember leaving a few times and saying OMG I got paid for that??
I also love directing porn I could do that all day and never get bored. I directed for Hustler once and had a great time!

I represent a lot of talent and the short answer is yes... most of the female performers experience a burnout at some point or another.

When the industry was at the height of gonzo production and some performers were shooting 5-7 days a week, it took a toll on a lot of the girls' bodies. Having sex when you do not want to have sex is not fun.

Since sexuality is so keyed into mutual attraction, that the wrong combination of performers could also cause work to be drudgery and drag on forever. The better performers do not let this show in their performance.
