It was good for what it was , a lot of it.
What I didn't like was how some rock bands went disco, or disco-ish.
Like the stones and kiss for example.
When I first heard the Emotional Rescue Albums first track "Dance" I went through all the stages- denial, anger , depression.........acceptance (that they sold out), then finally the final stage ..........using it as a frisbee.
But overall it was just one of many ingredients in the evolution of music.

Queen (another one bites the dust), even Led Zeppelin was a little bit funky (all of my love - a bit too synthesizer-based).
This is not something I would be proud of ... oh, the shame!
Think of Disco as a huge explosive "Oh Jeez!" diarrhea.
