Engineers like myself just laugh. Sorry, but truth. The "documentaries" are not only prying upon people's ignorance of not merely just classical (18th century) physics, but several of them where done to prove that people could be easily swayed.

It's fake! moon rocks, mirriors and everything else can be collected or place by our rovers. Don't u think we would have went back at least one more time. Set up a space station or something. Keep an open mind and realize the government won't always tell us the truth.
A lot of money. Besides we were in a race with the Soviets. Until China starts discussions about building a space station we will get right on it!
Believing something that has been debunked a thousand times is not being open-minded. It's being close-minded. Being open-minded means a willingness to consider other explanations and looking at things like evidence and making decisions based on that.
I get into this all the time with people who insist Roswell was an alien spaceship and people who believe they have psychic powers. They insist I'm the close-minded one because I'm a skeptic who wants things like evidence and proof while they're the open-minded ones because they believe just 'cause they want to.
It takes forever to explain to them that it's the other way around.
This one never gets old does it. You either believe it, or you dont. It is a hard thing to change your tune on. Mythbusters did an episode on it and debunked all these things that people were saying proved it was fake. I think they even did the reflective laser thing, on those mirrors they put up there. Anyway who, it is what it is and no use getting to worked up about it.
