Dennis Miller on "why liberals are so condescending"

Yea..Miller should be more entertainer and less analyst. Stewart doesn't appear on pundit shows offering his political position on situations as Miller often does.

You are correct, to a degree. However, the reason you like Stewart is because he isn't any more unbiased than Miller is. He's just on your side. Sure, he doesn't come out and present his own personal opinion on subjects, but is there really ANY doubt which side he stands on? Absolutely not. The reason is because, even though he doesn't give a personal opinion, he gets his opinion across by making fun of and belittling the conservatives. You love him for this.

Like all the rest of the liberal media, Stewart tries to hide behind a mask of phoney "ojbectivity". He is nothing of the sort. Even though he doesn't come right out and state his own personal opinion, he absolutely DOES try to influence people by making it look like the conservatives are stupid, greedy, etc.

Don't get me wrong. Dennis miller does the same exact thing for the other side. He's just honest about his intentions.

I agree with HELLDOUCHER on the note that Miller isn't really all that conservative, although he is entertaining enough for me. I listen to him almost nightly and some of his more poignant thoughts are about how hateful liberals can get. If someone isn't in lock step with the progressives, they tend to marginalize their beliefs and shout them down. Then again, Bill O'Reilly does the same thing.

Bill O'Reilly? For god's sake, has anyone ever watched his show?? He's the very DEFINITION of condescending, and he was on fine display when he "interviewed" Jon Stewart a couple nights back.

Miller and Bill make quite a sleazy super-duo, though....

Miller has always been one of my favorite commedians... his HBO show was awesome. He's not really "conservative" in the modern sense of the word IMHO, but more of a libertarian, which I like personally.

Miller has always been one of my favorite commedians... his HBO show was awesome.

The shows with Norm MacDonald were the best.

Difference being....Stewart, etc. analyze existing opinion and circumstance. Miller creates opinion from circumstance. One acts as an analyst the other acts as a commentator. There is a difference.:2 cents:

So Facial King is indignant because Dennis Miller is saying liberals are condescending on the Bill O'Reilly Show. The reason for his indignation is because he feels O'Reilly himself is "the very DEFINITION of condescending".

Does anyone else find it ironic that Facial King completely made Miller's case when he spent two thirds of his initial paragraph saying disdainful things about him?

Yes Facial King, I've watched the O'Reilly show, and I agree that he too can be condescending.

At the same time, you just proved Miller's point yourself with your diatribe about how he "couldn't maintain success in comedy, blah...blah...blah...blah..."

Wow. You liberals can't refrain from being condescending even long enough to accuse someone else of the same behavior.

Let me try this again TRW....It's one thing to look at circumstance and political opinion and analyze it as Stewart does. It's another to create new opinion of circumstance which is what Miller does.
