Dear British friends.

Please explain yourselves. You use some unusual terms. During my time over in your country I heard some things uttered that disturbed me.

Some of the things I remember were:

"Right proper prat"

"innit"

"Uphill gardener"

"Septics" (I think that was an insult toward us Americans)

Please advise

Septics - septic tanks - yanks

innit - isn't it (but only dickheads use that, in my experience)

uphill gardener - a homosexual

right proper prat - an idiot

Thank you. You must be from Margaret Thatcher country. I find them to be a little more polite. I don't think any of those terms were directed at me. I could be wrong about that.

I also recall hearing "chutney ferret" a couple of times too. I think the next time I visit there I am gonna hang out with a new circle of friends.

It seems that I was exposed to a lot of terms referencing the gays. I must have wandered into the wrong pub at times. I think Blueballs may be less than forthcoming with his comment.

I'm familar with 1-3 but not 4. So, yanky, what brought to England?
I assume you came to London. Did you pop into Peckham...

or any of our many riots hot spots? :D
Did you bring your gun?
Did you sample our delightful women?

Yes, I was in London. I was also surprised that I could watch the NCAA Men's basketball tourney (March Madness) there at a place called Bodean's. And they served pulled pork barbeque sandwiches (American style). it was very good.

I still correspond and talk with a woman I met there occasionally. I really like the people. But we do have to "take the piss" from you at first until you get to know us.

We aim to please. :D

It must have been quite cold in March. I'm glad you found some British totty to keep you warm. ;)
