i've been playing Dead Space 2 Limited Ediition

That girlfriend of his was freaky cool. she haunted him even after the grave. back in highschool i prayed for someone like her, lol.
I beat the game a couple days ago and overall I think it was a very good game. I like it how you can re-start your game with everything you ended with on the previous run-through. So, I did that am already on the 10 chapter for the second play-through.
The first time I played the game, I tried it on hard and reached the final boss, but found it too difficult to beat.
My stasis and Rig are fully upgraded, same thing with my plasma cutter. My pulse rifle just needs the alternate fire to be upgraded to have full upgrades on that. I forgot the name of the gun, but the gun that takes the seeker shells as ammo is almost fully upgraded too. I find it much easier and it takes up less slots of ammo to just have 3 guns instead of 4.

Good game, I finished it over three nights, took about 9 hours of actual progressive game play which I have to say is actually impressive for an xbox game. I have also started a second run just to upgrade the character and achievement chase.
Not looking to divulge too much to those who are still playing but what did we think of the ending? Potential for sequel?
Anyone going to try hardcore? One play through with only three saves, minimal health and limited ammo? I dont think I have the time or patience for that.
Sorry for having too much information. I was just stoked for getting an achievement for fully upgrading my stasis and rig.
I think there will be a third game. If you let the credits keep rolling and listen to the two people talking, they set-up another game pretty much.
I tried Hardcore and it was really really difficult. I died too many times to mention and got to the point where I almost threw the controller in frustration. I made it to the final boss, but found it too difficult and I must have died 6 times, before re-starting my game from scratch on an easier level. At the final boss on hard, I had full health, one small med kit, and hardly any ammo for each of my guns. So that saved game will forever be on chapter 14.
I've been reading up on the dead space wiki and its actually a quite deep and confusing story. As I understand it, the markers actually prevent the necro morph infection taking hold of a victim through an area of "dead space" it creates around it.
So, rather than trying to destroy the marker, you are actually trying to put the marker back in place to halt the infections spread? Am I understanding this right? Ive probably not paid enough attention to the details in the story, but I always thought the marker caused everything.
I'm almost at the end of my second playthrough now, racing towards the marker. Anyone shed light on the "conveergence", what it is exactly? I began to think that it was something involving the necromorphs setting their sights on earth.

I aint played the second game yet but there's two animated movies to accompany the two games that are supposed to shed more light on the story, I've got the first but still haven't watched it yet

Yea I will agree with that. I just hate the guy that won't die and how you have to wither him away to nothing and put him in stasis, or else you are pretty much done for.
The most major improvement I can tell is the zero gravity parts. It was so hard for me to navigate in zero gravity in the first one it was rediculous. Now, since Isaac pretty much has rockets on his boots, makes it pretty easy to navigate in zero gravity, esp when you have to re-align the satellite parts. I dread re-having to play the first game (my hard-drive crashed with my completed game memory) because of the zero gravity and meteor part, and I probably won't replay them at all.
