Oliver stone has a film coming out about govts and how they hide stuff from the public. He was on tv talking about it. seems interesting. I forget the name. I do not thjink its the one out know. He advises to question govt and its truthfulness.

History is kind of malleable and can be reshaped sometimes by accident and sometimes not by accident.

Nearly everybody says jfk started Vietnam and increased military involvement with the addition of 2000 advisors. And on the day he died was for a Vietnam war. I get it all the time and get sick of hearing it. Its like a brainwashing.
IT IS NOT TRUE. He did add 2000 advisors reluctantly when the joint chiefs wanted in invade right then. The real facts are that there are documents he signed in the national archives calling for removal of troops and all troops out by end of 1964. He had made a decision in Vietnam involvement.

Historys memory can swing on a dime sometimes.

Several years ago I read that there's a large number of secret documents, relating to WWI and the period just before, that's due to be unsealed/declassified in the next few years. That period had the greatest effect on the Western world, including setting the stage for WWII. So it'll be interesting to see what gets unsealed.
