Yes, sadly Cynara (Jessica D.) did die in 2016. She had problems even before entering porn (mental illness, drinking and drug abuse) and those sadly continued during and after her career in porn. She was signed to Jill Kelly's company for a few months before being fired because of drug issues and drama with some of the other girls. Several people in the porn industry tried helping her out over the years like Wesley Emerson and Toby Dammit, but sadly she couldn't keep a stable life.

She had been homeless on and off for years before her death. She traveled around a lot, Pennsylvania, Denver, Santa Barbara and Malibu, where she lived in a tent on the beach. She had health issues from her heavy drinking and drug abuse and was hospitalized several times, once for 3 months in Denver. Drinking played a part in her death, causing her to fall off an object while drunk at the beach and suffered blunt force trauma to her abdomen, which caused her death. She actually died in Malibu, California and not Pennsylvania as the IMDB states. Her boyfriend discovered her body on the beach hours after the fall that caused her death.
