Creation Museum

Well considering we wasn't there we'll never really know anyway. Those that was are either long gone or just unable to tell us anyway. So let everyone have there opinion how it started because we'll never know really.

Bit like the theory of god. Some all powerful ***** or being. Well if there was such a thing, why would they allow wars and ****** or such. Population control? And they've spent a lot more than 25 million on that.

according to the ancient babylonians, it's because the god's are lazy and they just want to *****, but people are always talking and making noise and waking them up, so they get really mad and inflict suffering on them.

if they just made this museum depicting the bible out of logos, i'd be pretty stoked on it.

whoops. that's supposed to say *legos*. a bit of a confusion there, but the link makes it clear.

Somethings I was thinking about today in relation to reading this:

a) What happend to the greeka nd roman religions? Thye suddenly became myths one day, will that ever happen to todays major religions?

b) If one of the singular gods is real (allah, god, ect) are they pissed that the planets are named after false gods?

And spending $25 million on this is laughable. Creationism blows.

I hear that uranus has a pretty big following on freeones.

a: yes, eventually.
b: the planets don't like their names, either.

i think that polytheism is good and that Zeus needs to make a comeback. then Jupiter can come back, too and they can duke it out.

on a more serious note:aside from the ridiculous ideology they'll try to ***** upon you, the museum will probably be pretty neat to anybody that visits.

The International Planetary Society is tired of moldy jokes like that one so they have voted to change Uranus' name to Urectum.

You know, the interesting part is that all the other planets have Roman names, while Uranus is Greek (Caelus is the Roman equivalent). One can only wonder if it was intentional.

No, I don't think so for the simple fact that unlike Greek mythology there aren’t too many things that can be proven false about it. Today we can take a trip to the top of mountains and see that there is in fact no gods living there. You can't do that with Heaven. Modern religions also usually involve more abstract ideals than just explaining natural phenomena like why the seasons change, or why there are thunderstorms, which we also now know scientifically why they happen.

Actually, we did do that. It just turned out that the bible wasn't talking about that heaven. Go figure.

By what standard do you call Judaism (for example) a "modern" religion? Hell, even Christianity is well over 2000 years old!

And if you're talking "scientifically" - maybe you can explain the talking snake in the Garden of Eden....

cheers,

well of course they aren't going to hang around with a bunch of loser scientists. when they went on that expedition to mt. olympus, zeus was out banging some hos. fo sho.
