Oh my God... I feel a bit idiot but I have to say: I need to watch more tv! My fuckin work eat my soul and my life! :crying:

Re: Sadam is dead....

First off let me be perfectly clear: I do not personally care if Sadam lived or died.

If sadam deserved to hang for killing of 148 Shias in the town of Dujail then so does every other leader that's started a war where civilians were killed.
I can't help feeling he was just a fallguy, killed in mob-style justice to appease the crowd.
Anyway you look at it George Bush is also guilty of crimes against humanity by an unprovoked attack on a country that had nothing to do with 9/11.
How much civilian blood is on Georges hands?
They needed someone to throw on the fire after 9/11, might as well have been a run down dictator in a 3rd world country.

From the day he was captured people all across America were calling for his death.
This was an exicution for political reasons pure and simple.

Also, his death won't change a thing. The violence will go on, people will still die by the hundreds in Iraq while the west "guards" the oil.

All I have to say is it's about fucking time:partysml:

Neromak, **********, very well said... Sadam was scum and the world will be better without him no question about that ...... but for Bush to pull the strings from the comfort of the White House, that scares me. Americans must remember Sadam wasn't put to death for 9-11, in fact he didn't kill or torture even one American, the demonic mastermind of 9-11 was Osama.... Why didn't Bush go after Osama the way he went after Sadam? Osamas death would have been something to cheer about. I fear the follow up to Sadams death will be innocent Americans being Hanged in various parts of the world. Nothing was solved by killing Sadam, in fact with his death the world just became an even more unsafe place to live.

well since we've allready gone there, let's keep going.

I say we add presidente fox to the list.

It's good to be the king...
I know Saddam was aided by the west in the past

I know that since the implementation of "Operation Iraqi Freedom", Iraq is in a state of virtual meltdown.

I know that his trial descended to farce at times...and that his death is perceived by some as "victor's justice"

But you know what? I'm still glad he's dead.

Go figure....:dunno:

Bush & Blair next, afterall they've killed hundreds of thousands as well.
Funny isn't it Hitler started a war and if it was not for his suicide he would have hung (& rightly so). But these to assholes do the same and they become national heroes.
Dont get me wrong Saddam was an evil S.O.B and had to hang, but these other 2 are not a lot better.
Weapons of mass destruction, what do they take us for. It was just to make the US & UK Governments richer and more powerful (OIL)

Oh sorry they changed that to Iraqi Freedom because there was no fucking weapons

you're right. But I don't think we'll be able to put a force together that can invade the U.S.A. ... :D

Free the U.S.! :nanner:

That's what Germany thought, France before them (Napoleon) and The Roman Empire before that.
It's a historical fact that any one nation that becomes too big also falls down big.
The English Empire would be a prime example.

Powerful nations come and go, it's the way of the world.

(No, it's not an Anti-America post. It's a post based on facts.)

That's right boys. Rally round the carcass. Wave your flags in the air and celebrate the dead body as if god were right there with you and the devil was lying dead beside you. Everyone knows that when we kill someone, it's in the course of justice and righteousness, and when they do, it is punishable by extreme and unusual murder. We're right, they're wrong. That's it. Who cares if that's what they believe too. We KNOW we're right. We KNOW they're wrong. Although, they believe that too.

So he is executed. The man the US put in power. The man responsible for far fewer deaths than our current US president. But hey - he's the devil. And we can feel good about killing him in cold blood because we are gods, and gods can decide whether a man should live or die, and since we are gods, we know we always make the right decision.

Now if we can just get some wild animals to devour the carcass in order to really humiliate his dead body. Or we could cut it into pieces and send bits of him to all of the Islamic nations, despite the fact that Sadaam was actually a secular ruler, very little to do with Islam. Who cares - calling him a radical islamist fits our program, so that's what we do. We rock. We rock. We rock.

That's just my take, from everything we have all said.

What an (expletive) (expletive) theory ya'll have come up with.
So, Saddam, who started a war with Iran, and killed close to 500,000 Iranians, and lost (cannon fodder) close to 500,000 Iraqis, and quelled a rebellion of a Kurdish region by directly ordering poison gas attacks on villages...we've all seen those shots of dead kids with their mothers, all dead from gas... wasn't as bad a taker of lives as the USA/Coallition Forces?
Oh, and ya'll forgot the Iraqi jet that hit an American vessel with a missle years ago, killing American sailors who didn't shoot the jet because we were "friends" with Iraq, or the 148 men and boys executed as a "message" after an unsuccessful assaination attempt. (That's the event they hung him for.)
Ever since Iraq agreed to the "no-fly" zone, to keep Iraq from killing Kurds from the air, Iraqi guns, SAM's, and small arms were shot at Americans in an attempt to kill them,
Whatever the facts of the war there are now, George B. hasn't killed nearly as many combatants and civilians as Saddam; his number of executions and ordered killings, etc.have put him way out in front of all the American and Coalition forces combined.
I didn't make those numbers up... Saddam thought he was able to do as he wished with his power...and made sure his behavior was known to all.
The Iraqi conflict is a real complicated situation, and I don't have the real lowdown on it...but there was one villian who made himself a target for example execution: Saddam; no one had to threaten the Iraqis who tried, sentenced, and executed him.
They were more than happy to do the deed.

I personally don't see the point in anyone wasting their time shadow boxing with this issue. He is gone, it does not end anythingmany will carry on the "cause". Nothing is solved or will ever be resolved. Just a different face in the news tomorrow. Not one thing ended with his death except his heartbeat.

IMHO of course.

That is a good point, however,in the region,it seems to be a cause of some feelings and opinions.I noticed that according to statements that especially the Kurds and the Iranians seem to be quite pleased to be rid of the Man that destroyed so many of their families.Until seeing a couple of documentaries on His career,I had forgotten what a slaughter(on both sides) that the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980's was.Maybe it just closes out some horrible memories for a lot of these people.
