Country singer Mindy McCready reportedly commits suicide

RNN) - Country singer Mindy McCready died Sunday night in Heber Springs, AR. She was 37.

The Cleburne County Sheriff's Office confirmed to the Associated Press that McCready died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Her death comes after her boyfriend, producer David Wilson, who is the ****** of her second *****, died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound last month.

McCready was born on Nov. 30, 1975 in Fort Myers, FL, and graduated early from high school so that she could begin her singing career.

At 18, she moved to Nashville before recording five studio albums: Ten Thousand Angels (1996), If I Don't Stay the Night (1997), I'm Not so Tough (1999), the 2002 eponymous titled Mindy McCready and I'm Still Here (2010).

McCready's success was peppered with scandal, **** addiction and arrests, fodder for the tabloids.

Baseball star Roger Clemens was reported to have had an affair with the singer. Clemens denied the claims that the relationship was sexual, even filing a defamation suit, but admitted knowing McCready since she was 15. Clemens released a statement in 2008 saying, "I have made mistakes in my personal life for which I am sorry."

Her tumultuous personal life also included the arrest of her ex-boyfriend Billy McKnight for attempted ****** in 2005 after beating and ******* her.

A sex tape of McCready was sold by Vivid Entertainment in 2010.

McCready sought treatment a few times for **** addiction, even appearing on ********* Rehab with Dr. Drew in 2009 after a string of incidents with police.

The singer was arrested for various **** charges throughout her life, including trying to purchase OxyContin with a fake ************, as well as driving with a suspended license, identity theft, ********* probation, battery due to a fight with her ******, and resisting arrest.

She attempted suicide three times previously, twice due to **** overdoses, and has sought treatment at various facilities, including recently being committed to a facility for an evaluation for *******-***** and mental-health issues.

The sad part is there are **** that have lost both parents within a few months.

I want to buy this album just for the irony boner I get from reading the title.

Suicide is the cowardly way.
Stan, while I agree to a certain point about suicide. When a person with a history of mental issues checks in to a mental facility. The doctor decides the patient is suitable for out patient care, I think we can all agree in hindsight, that it wasn't the right decision. Especially when the patient made prior attempts.

This is not true. It takes guts to **** yourself.

Not in the slightest way. It takes guts to carry on through life, to attempt to solve one's problems and to live with one's mistakes.
It takes a coward to end it all as such, and to leave everyone else with those problems and the additional problems after doing the deed. She left behind loved ones to grieve over her death, while she chose to end her pains quickly. Suicide is nothing more than a cowardly, egotistical way out. For me, this rings especially true when she chose to do this, leaving behind two ******** who are now ****** to grow up without their parents.

This is really sad. She was such a bright star at one point.

And as for suicide, there's no cowardice or the like to it 99% of the time. Most people who do it are very mentally ill and it's obvious that she was sick. It's just sad that such a talented person couldn't manage to get the help that she needed to make herself well.

This may be a little ignorant but like in this case don't they ever think about their ********(especially if the ******** are young)?
Such a shame

Her sextape will be downloaded more than ever.

Hooray for Vivid!

Okay you stated some good points. Still it's not easy to **** oneself and it's not cowardly.

If you don't think it takes guts then, go on. **** yourself.

I don't think it's that they don't think about others...it's that they CAN'T think about anything because they are just...not all together mentally.

Think about it...she's rich, famous, attractive (she was when she was healthy)...has it all...but she's so mentally ill that she'll **** herself? That is not a person who is capable of thinking about others. It's not that they wouldn't want to...they can't.
