Could Kamala Harris beat Donald Trump in 2020?

Depends on her campaign, depends on wether she'll run as a progressive or as a corporate democrat.

Please God, let her run with Elizabeth Warren as a running mate. That would be a dream come true. Four more years of Trump would be guaranteed.

You couldn't be more wrong. Trump won because he ran a populist as an outsider, not as a random corporate politicians and because he was facin,g the most coporate politician you can think of.
In 2020, if the Democrats would once again have this kind of candidate, Trup wil stand a chance. But if the Democrat candidate is a true progressive, someone like Sanders or Warren, Trump has 0% chance to win.

lol

we're still a center-right country, Johan. which is how Trump, despite all his warts, still won.

Kamala Devi Harris no.

These two are occasioned with Kamala, Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer. :eeew:

Kamala is married to attorney Douglas Emhoff (Douglas is Jewish).

Kamala is the daughter of Shyamala (Gopalan), a breast cancer specialist, and Donald J. Harris, an economics professor at Stanford University. Her father is Jamaican (of Afro-Jamaican descent). Her mother is an emigrant from Chennai, India, of Tamil Indian descent.

Not an American.

Who do I get to be "occasioned" with? Why does everyone else get to do the "occasioning"? No wonder there's a swamp. It's all these kids with their hair and piercings and I hear-tell most of 'em are "occasioners." OK, I'll stop.

No millionaire, slumlord daddy to give her loans to squander? That's a problem.

Ah, now I see why you hate her so much.

Not an American.
How did I know you were going to say that?

Because it is the truth.

How did I know you were going to say that? Again?

That is the title of the article.

Harris, who was born in Oakland, California, is the daughter of an Indian mother, Dr. Shyamala Gopalan—a breast cancer specialist who emigrated from Chennai, to the United States in 1960, and a Jamaican American father, Stanford University economics professor Donald Harris.

Kamala Harris is American. She was born in Oakland, Ca.

Don't forget Trump's father was german and he's mother was scottish, so according to your logic Trump is not American.
Still, he is. Just like Kamala Harris

Do you think Trump could have beaten Sanders if the DNC didn't make that huge blunder?

Trump won not because where he stands on the political spectrum but because, from the primaries to the general election, this election was about corporate politicians vs outsiders.
That is why, among Bernie voters, most of them choosed to stay home or vote for Trump on election day : because they refused to have 4 more years with a corporate presiddent. This is what the Democrats (and the medias) seem not to have understood or to refuse to acknowledge.
During all his campaign Trump repeated he was sure he woulkd win despite poll numbers because he had large enthusiastic crowds. One other candidate had large enthusiastic crowds : Bernie.
In 2020, Trump won't be able to run as an outsider so if the democrats can put an outsider candidate against him, it's almost a guaranteed victory for that candidate. But if they come up with another corporate candidate, then it's almost 50-50

Man, it must totally suck to be you, Will. And no offense intended whatsoever....just a personal observation. I am very glad that you are not my next-door neighbor (and I would guess that the feeling is probably mutual. Am I wrong?). Regardless, I hope you have a good weekend.

Kamala Harris is an extremely intelligent senator from California who exudes an impressive, self-confident ambiance. She also has a smart and sexy wit and sense of humor. I like her a lot. I believe that she would eat Trump alive in a legitimate debate (and not the ridiculous sound-bite WWE-wannabe free-for-all that comprises our present political debate format) on the issues of the day. However, she would also be a disastrous presidential nominee since it is painfully obvious that the USA is nowhere near ready for a president who is both a person of anything other than Caucasian descent and a woman at the same time. Perhaps she would be a good running mate for the right democratic nominee but I feel that, despite his rather dubious first year in office, the reactionary forces that elected Trump in the first place are nowhere near ready to switch their allegiance to the very questionable image that is projected by the present-day Democratic Party. As Trump's term plays out it will be of critical importance that the dems get their act together and not simply rest on being the anti-Trump but instead to carry forth a real message of hope and vision to the voters of our great nation. Without it, the same negatives would apply as they did to Hillary Clinton and Trump would indeed be re-elected....as unlikely as it would seem to be under the present political circumstances. Maybe someday, but not anytime soon.

who? this fucking retard?

Trump would've smoked his ass.

America is about excellence.

#RuggedIndividualism

fuck, affirmed. Liberalism is SUCK and SHIT.

all I need to do is cross the Cascades.

Just an ignorant and juvenile post, fox. What is fueling your thought processes when you post such primal emotional vitriol? Something to accompany you while you are edging perhaps? I wonder if you make legitimate and intelligent criticisms without using objectionable and sophomoric terms like "retard"? Go ahead....I challenge you. Can you? :dunno:

Harris checks a number of boxes, but she's also done some alarming things:

http://www.latimes.com/politics/ess...tic-donor-hosts-sen-1500883450-htmlstory.html
That the media and donors are lining up behind her are also red flags

These scream 'standard politician', and I'm not sure they can win for much longer (Trump might give them their last opening in 2020, but the only reason why we have Trump in the first place is the public realizing 'standard politician' = they get shat on). We'll see - her recent position on single-payer in opposition to party leadership was a good move.
