Freihofer's , not Entenmann's, chocolate chip cookies.

Archway Soft.

Cookie dough ice cream.

I like those and many more. I don't like raisins in anything. Pillsbury Dough Boy and TallHouse shit is ...SHIT! Oreo ice cream is always good.

Lacey's cookies. Hands the fuck down!

Walker's shortbread is a distant second.

As far as store brands-Pepperidge Farms especially the Milanos.
I have sugar and chocolate chip cookie dough in my freezer when the cookie need hits. I like peanut butter cookies but the dough doesn't seem to freeze well.

A little off topic, when did a bag of sugar go from 5lbs to 4? I was ready to gear up for the holidays for baking and notice this.

Those budget chocolate and vanilla cookies, y'know poor mans Oreos, are strangely addictive for me. Nutter Butters w/ coffee. And of course, Pepperidge Farm.

My mom used to make oatmeal cookies that were far and away the absolute best I've ever had. I wanted to live in a house made of them.

Archway Soft are very good. Don't know the brand, but sugar wafers with vanilla frosting sandwiched between them. The wafers just dissolve in your mouth.

You know the spice cookies in the shape of a windmill? Well, they just happen to originate from the Netherlands and are actually a distant cousin of the dutch's speculooskook. Speculoos cookies can come hard, like the windmill cookies or soft almost like cake. Sometimes the soft ones have this almond paste in it.

Then of course there's snickerdoodle cookies. I make THE BEST snickerdoodles.

Um, no. Not really.

Well, they just happen to originate from the Netherlands and are actually a distant cousin of the dutch's speculooskook.

That's nice, but I still don't know what you're talking about.

That's a pretty ballsy statement. I'm gonna need some proof. Without it I'm inclined to call bullshit.

A bunch of lard asses on this thread.

Nutter Butters are to die for. The Pepperidge Farm series is terrific. Homemade oatmeal-raisin cookies with tons of cinnamon.....OMG

Also, Girl Scout Peanut Butter Patties and Caramel Delights are off the fucking chain.

I like to bake cookies when I have the ingredients. I found a recipe for peanutbutter cup cookies that's fucking amazing. You basically make regular peanutbutter cookie dough and bake them in minimuffin trays. The moment they come out of the oven, you cram a frozen Reese's cup into them and let them cool. The dough stiffens up and the Reese's cup gets soft and gooey. They're fucking delicious.

I believe the knock-off Oreos are called Hydrox or something. I had some peppermint oreeos the other day, fucking tasty.

I really don't eat cookies as much as I used to through out the year but this holiday I may go through 2-3 tins of Royal Dansk

My niece has been baking since she was a teen. The stuff she brings to holiday dinners is amazing. Every Christmas she makes an extra batch of those Reese's just for me.

Many of the diners in my area have The Big Cookie. It's 6" across and 1" tall with chocolate chips. Very crumbly. The best part is that they are Saran wrapped so you can eat some of it now and wrap the rest up for later. I have never seen them in any other place except for diners.

Is somewhere outhere.
In the UK we have folks like Mcvities,Maryland and Fox's doing cookies, which are all pretty much the same.In Scotland though we have a company called Tunnock's who do good cookies (or biscuits as we call them) where the Caramel Wafers and the Tea Cakes are to die for. :drool2:
