Unlike what the end of the article said prison would not be more harsh than the death sentence. That is not true. It would be more of a relief than anything. As he would then know his life is still intact. Even though he is in a holiday home (aka jail). Nah. It's bad enough he strangled the mother but tying the girls to their beds so they can't escape and thus die in the fire is really beyond redemption.

Just Chib the bastard already!. Criminals should forfeit some of their so-called human rights upon commiting such acts!. Those fucking cunt bastards never thought about the human rights of their victims so they in turn should know what it feels like. But in most cases it wont happen. No wonder crime pays in most places.

I'd say let him rot in prison and be used like a rag doll for a while. Then carry out his death sentence where he will feel it's better to die than to live after the abuse he went through. However his death sentence will be tying him up to a pole and having someone shoot off rounds around him for a whole night. Finally hitting him in the shin or arm. Keep it up until he is at his wits end and let him stay there for a little while long before he hears another shot close to him. then finally off the bastard.

Make his life a horrible mess for the remainder. Then again when it comes to what this guy does there is no remorse and I don't really care about a humane ending for him.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the worst prison in Conn. isn't all that bad. It will not be like Richard Speck, who was crawling up the walls on death row after two days of two other inmates screaming that when they get at him they were going to put him under. (Richard Speck was subsequently moved to gen. pop., where the brothers made him a prostitute, probably the worst fate any "man" could ever fathom.)

I hate the death penalty process. This will be drawn out for 30 years and after a few appeals and millions of tax payer dollars this fuck might get what's coming to him. A good healthy dose of hamburger time.

You and Dirk have it right. The death penalty is a joke. The only ones that like it are the snake lawyers makings millions on decades worth of useless appeals. I would like a bullet in the brain now, but to be fair, I would say 1 appeal is fair and the criminal be executed no later than 1 year after the conviction date.
