Yeah, but a fighter plane doesn't have to worry about smashing into a wall at the slightest mistake and can often have seconds if not minutes to recover from a maneuver that wasn't optional. They also tend not to race each other on a short closed track. If fighter planes flew continuously ten meters above the ground you may have some sort of point.
