Collard greens

Done right, they may be the world’s greatest vegetable.
I have had them with leftovers for the past three days and they are still delicious.
It’s a southern thang.

My favorite vegetable is Broccoli Rob. I've never had real Southern greens.

Collards are great. I love them with hawaiian oxtail and rice with macaroni salad. The slight bitterness of the greens is great with the fat of the oxtail. Then the liquor mixes with the mayo from the mac and gets into the rice... so good.

It's an Asian thing.

Huh? I guess it depends on where you live.

It's Hawaiian, that's basically an Asian melting pot of culture. That state's as US as the hamburger, as in, kinda but not really.

Ya, some people call Hawaii a state. I call it a forward operating base. But anyways, I'd still rather have a greezy ass burger than some collards. A little bitter for my liking but like I said, you wouldn't catch me turning down a bowl. Oh hell no, as long as not too much vinegar was used. Too much is a deal breaker.
