Colin Kaepernick refuses to stand for U.S. national anthem

If that person is a radical or even ordinary Arab then you are in danger if you do that.

They are fanatics.

And if they don't change their approach to interaction with other people they may face extermination.

Where is the Arabs there are bomb attacks.

You just have to tell Arab that he or she can get to paradise if they blow up a bomb and they believe it in the same way as ******** believe in Santa Claus.
And it gaves you the right to consider every muslim to be a radical ?

Why would I not??? I am not French therefore I was born with a spine......

No you are a liberal and if you had a spine, you wouldn't have voted for his highness Obama as you did twice. Don't put all the French in the same bag, not all are of the same breed.

This is more political than sports related so I posted it here.

Well within his rights if he chooses, but if he really wants to take a stand, turn down the paycheck that comes from a league/team in this terrible country or donate it to black people.

I never liked this motherfucker anyway.

Fuck him.

Quick question to our resident legal scholar: Was the 1st Amendment written to protect individuals and groups from government oppression or private oppression? A private company or league like, say, the NFL can mandate certain behaviors and decorum without penalty, amirite? Did those shitheads with the S̶a̶i̶n̶t̶ ̶L̶o̶u̶i̶s̶ Rams (Ha!) get in any trouble when they came out like morons with the false "Hands up, don't shoot" narrative?

And wasn't this shithead fined by the NFL for uttering a racial epithet at an opposing player?

From the government. Just like that Duck Dynasty guy could be suspended and numerous ESPN pundits have been suspended or terminated because of their commentary without penalty.

The 49ers could suspend him but they won't unless this really starts to create a backlash.

He picked the right market to play in if you are gonna create a **** storm.

Getting tired of the "1st Amendment only applies to the government" canard.

Secondary rulings have made it clear that freedom of speech can be considered imposed upon by individuals or non government entities as well.

Yeah, yeah, well take it up with framers. Secondary rulings are not the issue. The discussion was the framer's intent.

There's a reason they don't prevail with litigation.

Sounds like an argument I'd make if we weren't discussing framer's intent.

Especially toward groups that I am inclined to disagree with.

Make up your mind. Those are your own words. You're so full of **** sometimes man lol. If I or any other other left leaning individual had asked Ace's question you would've been all over us. But I give you props because sometimes you are a good sparring partner. I'll leave it at that because I don't feel like going back and forth for two hours

I am in no way liberal in my day to day life i just happen to see past dogma and stupidity to vote my own mind.
It would blow your mind if you knew me in the flesh.

His intentions are grossly misguided by his interpretation that the anthem is representative of the US government. It clearly is not....rather, it is representative of the nation itself....its people. For what he perceives as the oppressive actions of the authorities and government, he condemns and disrespects all of the people who live in our great nation, including himself and those whom he claims are being oppressed. Ironically, his weak attempt to bring attention to bigotry is incredibly bigoted by its very nature.

Yep that's true Jag.
I don't really know what's in his head other than that one statement.
If it's all about the oppressing blacks thing. If it's about now or the past.
If it's about the past he needs to get over it.

But I got news for him. Pretty much all of us our repressed at this point.
Every time we pay taxes that go right to some trillionares who print money out of thin air and "loan" it to us..
Every time we have our internet activity monitored by some bullshit agency.
Every time we travel using airports.
Every time we eat our food made of Monsanto GMO poison.
Every time we watch and the lies and propaganda on the news/newspapers as well as all our politicians.
Every time we're told our **** can't go to school unless they get injected with poison that the pharma corps and GOV get rich off of.
Every time we're terrorized with another hoax ****** ******.
Every time we think our vote counts.
I'll stop now but I could fill this page.

But if it's just about the Black oppression he should listen to this guy.
Not the complete answer but it's pretty good.
