I generally enjoy a medium roast Arabica Colombian coffee and I do so in the comfort of my own home most of the time. I can never seem to find a coffeehouse that features a light to medium roast coffee these days, it's all blackened french roast style of shit! :pukey:

Me yes like coffee.
however, i'm still living in colombia and believe it or not you can't get good coffee here.
only if you go to the pueblos where they grow it., maybe.
they export all the good stuff so theres about 4 brands of coffee here and theyre all the same gut rot quality.
not terrible, but not that good.

seems this guy's only in it for the money

I'm not a coffee fan unless it's espresso. Other than that, I like to shoot those little "Stok" coffee shots you can get at the quick mart or grocery store. All the benefits of the caffeine without putting up with the massive quantities of tannic acid that are contained in a typical cup of American-style coffee. That shit will slowly eat away your stomach lining.

TANNIC ACID is large doses can cause cancer in animals.
TANNIC ACID interferes with human nutrition.
TANNIC ACID can cause growth and intestinal damage, stain teeth, and it interacts with a wide range of medications, reducing their effectiness.
TANNIC ACID is harmful to body tissues. TANNIC ACID is known to combine with proteins and make them less available to the body and they inhibit the absorbtion of calcium and the B vitamins.

I am concerned about the ones I highlighted .
i wonder to what extent that is?

i drink coffee technically, but by the time i get done pouring shit into it, it can hardly be considered coffee...i'm not too picky on whether it's home-brewed, work-brewed or fancy 'outside' coffee from a legit coffee joint :dunno:

Café creme for me, thanks. Otherwise I prefer black tea if it's a good sort and it's made the right way.

Hold your horses!

That's a less than credible source - no offense Jag :hatsoff:. It should also be noted that the folks at http://www.buismans.cc/tannic.html are trying to sell you something.

A little digging around will offer other facts and perspectives about the 'dangers' of tannic acid.
