Clicking/saving pictures

I've been collecting pictures for a LONG time...and I've always wondered if there's a quicker way to go about it...

I left click the link
Left click the thumbnail
Right click the picture
Select 'Save picture as'
Save picture to proper folder


This gets pretty tedious...especially if its a good gallery with 20 or so pictures.

Isn't there some way to save the picture just by clicking on the thumbnail? Or better yet...save ALL the pictures in a gallery at once by selecting all thumbnails? If any one has the secret...I'd love to know it.

...and if you're still oldfashioned after that, it's faster to just combo CTRL+S+ENTER (if it is being saved in your default folder) if the loaded image isn't in a frame...

I recommend Mihov PictureDownloader. Just insert the URL of the webpage and all pictures will be downloaded. Or you can sort out, like download only gifs, jpgs... and you can determine where the downloaded pics will go. And you can go on browsing while the pics are downloaded. Easy to use, nice little thing.

i used to have MPD for a couple of years but some times in 56k connection
there were problems...it downloaded half the images...so i stoped using it...
Anyway downthemall is equal to Miha's file, so...just choose one!

I'm using flashget with flashgot plugin for firefox
it works the same way as DownThemAll!, it also tells you when you try to download something that you already downloaded last day but don't remember...

I post some toolbar for IE and I was categorized as a spamer... also some one told that the toolbar contain a spyware... that is weird because I have more than one year using the toolbar. Anyway it works fine to me. I will try this ones for frefox.

I've been using the toolbar you posted alot and haven't had any problems. It's a good piece of software. Here's the link again for those that want an IE toolbar for downloading pics.

Ok...I've been using downTHEmall! for a bit now...and I have one complaint. I'm pretty particular about how I organize all my pictures, and many of the galleries just give the pictures a number... 1.jpg, 2.jpg, etc. I want to be able to give the pictures a name before I download them. What happens all too often is I've ALREADY got pictures with the same name and the utility gives them a prefix...like 001_1.jpg. This ends up just scrambling everything up in my folders and I have to go in and move everything around. It's not a problem when the files have unique names like ginalynnstocking01.jpg.

Any suggestions? Or maybe a program that does allow me to give the files new names before I download them? I did get FlashGot, and notice it has a 'build gallery' feature...but I'm having a bit of trouble working with it.

I never used the build gallery feature,
I'm only using flashgot basic stuff, I download everything I can put the name of the girl in the first pic name then flashget do the big renaming work.
finally when I'm in the mood to do some arrangements in my new porn pics anarchic folder, I just sort them by their modification date and put them in their intended folder (1 folder for each pornstar). ACDsee can also helps to mass rename and find duplicate..
I can quickly turn into a crazy work if you don't sort them regularly like me :

1800 pics to sort and ~5000 more in folders 1,2,3

Does anyone use CompuPic-Pro? I like it, sorts, moves, copies, edits, resizes, crops, searches, e-mails and is very fast. It saves a small quick thumbnail image of a folder, and sorts the thumbnails 10 across or whatever size you like.

Download managers are good for multiple selecting files from a site and downloading, i use "Myfreedownloadmanager"

I use the tabbed browsing feature in Firefox to eliminate some of the pics that I might have thought I wanted as thumbnails. Then I run the download 'em all feature. Using MS Picture Manager's rename option is fairly quick if the names don't suit you.

I am the same way. I am very maticulous about naming each picture.
