Clear new links not working

If I hit clear new links in my favorites list it seems like new links were moved.
But when I return to the list the links are still there, so it's not working.

two days, same problem.

deleted temporary internet files, cookies, browsing history, nothing change.

We have had to temporarily disable this feature since it was causing some issues with the remainder of the site, it should be operational again come Tuesday afternoon.
