Hey Roald, why not take the next step and share some snuff videos?

i've been close to big cats. any person who is comfortable being around one without a barrier or serious protective measures in place should probably see a shrink...just the way they look at you should be a solid enough of a warning that you shouldn't be comfortable around one. people who don't get that feeling are the ones that would be eaten if we were still living in the wild. just like a mouse in a snake tank, they have no idea that they're food.

/\ disturbing. i thought it was illegal to hunt lions. it sure should be.

also, dr pepper has a small point within his otherwise shitty post. there is a strange disconnect with the consumption of meat and feeling bad for animals in general.

im not a recruiter, and i have no problem with people eating meat, in fact, i believe they were put here to be consumed (in a respectable, responsible manner though), but there is some irony in that whole thing.

as ive been off and on as a chef, you tend to look at food and the people who eat your food differently. a lot of people, including myself, do get disturbed when you really look into how animals are treated in their quest to become dinner. we are so detached from where our food and meat comes from, its just weird. we see meat as meat, not really knowing where it came from and how it got there. its all cut up and stocked at the store all nice like.

we should have some knowledge of how it came to be on our plates. thats what im saying. eat up, for gods sake eat up, but we've lost our respect for food and animals for sure.

poor lions!

shame it didn't get at least one of them. then it would've been sporting at least. i'm all for hunting if you're gonna eat it, and i'm all for sport hunting if there's actually some sport involved. at least a level playing field, give the hunting party spears and knives that way there's some competition and real skill and luck involved. it's not a real dangerous game hunt if everyone has a solid chance at getting back to camp unscathed.
